Liam Harrison had nothing but praise for the standout performance Ryan Garcia put on against Devin Haney, despite the intriguing lead-up the fight was mired in.

Garcia wasn't his usual self leading up to the matchup at Barclays Center in Brooklyn this past weekend.

There were concerns about the erratic behavior 'KingRy' showed during press appearances, and the 25-year-old even weighed three pounds over the super lightweight limit of 140 pounds.

Nevertheless, Garcia pulled off possibly the biggest win of his career and handed Haney his first professional loss.

Harrison, one of the many fighters who tuned in to the fight, was rightfully impressed with Garcia's performance, especially with how the American star dropped Haney three times for the majority decision win.

"@kingryan deserves some sort of award for the troll game he just pulled off there, he played an absolute blinder haha. Wish he had made weight but I still won some decent money and got to see that clown Bill Haney silenced 🤐 so all in all a good night. #boxing #ryangarcia," wrote Liam Harrison.

Garcia had control for much of the fight and he silenced his doubters when he dropped the WBC super lightweight world champion in rounds 7, 10, and 11.

The win pushed Garcia to 25-1, while Haney dropped to 31-1.

Liam Harrison pushes for one last run in his stellar career

Liam Harrison knows his time at the top of the sport is ending, and he's ready to produce the best fights he has left in the tank.

In an interview with Fight Energy Films, Harrison spoke about his upcoming return to action against Katsuki Kitano at ONE 167 on June 7 at Impact Arena in Bangkok.

"I've looked after my body. I've [taken] care of myself, I've kept working on the aspects that I can do, and I do believe that I can have one final run, one last throw of the dice. One last run towards the title, and if I didn't believe that in my own heart and my own head, I would have retired."

Harrison will enter his first ONE Championship fight since suffering an injury to his left knee when he challenged then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 2022.

ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
