“We’re looking to incorporate everything” - Lito Adiwang plans all-out offensive against Jeremy Miado

Lito Adiwang feels he’s in the best shape in his career and he’s ready to continue his redemption arc at ONE Fight Night 16.

The Filipino strawweight MMA standout will take on old foe Jeremy Miado in the card’s opener on November 3 at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

Miado and Adiwang already faced each other at ONE X, but the March 2022 match ended in disaster for ‘Thunder Kid’.

Adiwang suffered a nasty injury in the fight and tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Miado, thus, ended up taking a second-round technical knockout win.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Adiwang detailed how he was winning the fight, and it was unfortunate that he suffered the injury at such a crucial juncture in his career.

After sitting out for 18 months and making his return this September, Adiwang said he’s ready to take the fight to Miado and unleash every part of his arsenal.

He said:

“Looking back, my leg kicks were working in that fight, and it’s still something that I plan to use but now we’re looking to incorporate everything. I’m working on connecting everything – from leg kicks to punches, to timing that takedown.”

The injury forced Adiwang to sit on the sidelines for more than a year. While some fighters are content with staying put and focusing on their recovery, Adiwang decided to switch things up in his career and left the famed Team Lakay gym.

Adiwang is now part of Soma Fight Club in Bali while cross-training with HIIT Studio in the same Indonesian province.

The 30-year-old returned to competition at ONE Friday Fights 34, where he needed just 23 seconds to send Adrian Mattheis to the shadow realm.
