MONTREAL, CANADA – JUNE 09: Timo Glock of Germany and Marussia drives during qualifying for the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on June 9, 2012 in Montreal, Canada.

After having been absent from the European Grand Prix due to a ‘nasty intestinal infection’, Timo Glock promised to be back again for the following race in Great Britain. Even though he had completed all three practice sessions in Valencia despite feeling unwell, by Sunday he was unable to join the race.

Glock has now confirmed that he is feeling much better and expects to race in the British Grand Prix. He said: “Generally I am feeling much better. I still feel a little weak in the legs, but otherwise I am okay. It was obviously very disappointing that I was forced to miss the race in Valencia, but that is the way it goes sometimes. You cannot just ignore the symptoms I was experiencing.”

“I am now on my way to a full recovery, although it will be a few more days before I am allowed to train again. I am now looking forward to the forthcoming weeks. Included on the program is my home race with my Marussia F1 Team, which means it will be a busy and demanding period with lots of events and activities. However, by then I should be totally fit again.”
