What is Josh Allen's 40 time?

Josh Allen

Josh Allen is an elite quarterback talent. If Allen did not turn the ball over the way he does, he is arguably one of the best, if not the best, in the league. To get Allen’s greatness under perspective, the Bills in the last four seasons, have won 47 games and have only lost 18. Oftentimes when we talk about quarterbacks, the likes of Mahomes, Hurts, and Jackson come to mind but Allen is easily a very underrated QB in the NFL. Allen has also made the Bills the only two teams in the NFL to win 10-plus games in the last four seasons. He has made the Bills one of the top teams in the league and has done so quietly.

Unlike Mahomes, Allen does not have the rings nor the accomplishments to show but his game has continued to improve in every aspect on the field. Allen was the third quarterback taken in the 2018 NFL draft. ESPN had graded him as a boom or bust project keeping the standards very high which was quite unfair to rookie QB. He had some of the best raw talent coming into the NFL but did not have the glamorous college record to match and this raised multiple questions. Allen had some of the best attributes for a QB and he was the biggest QB in his draft class. Due to his freaky combine statistics, there were many NFL coaches determined to draft him.

Even though Allen was one of the most talented prospects coming into the NFL, his downside was that he was not from one of the more successful college programs and he lacked accuracy even with lesser opponents.

In the NFL, Allen posted an astounding 631 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns as a rookie. The only problem was, being a QB, Allen was more talented in the rushing part of his game than throwing. While Aaron Rodgers was the MVP in 2020, Allen had a career year himself recording 4544 passing yards, 37 touchdowns, and only 10 interceptions. He also had a career-best quarterback rating of 76.6. It was clear that Allen was going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near future.

Fast forward to the 2023 season, Allen is making another case for winning the MVP honors this year and has taken more strides to take his game to another level with the Bills. Everything's coming together for the 27-year-old quarterback and he is arguably one of the top 5 candidates to win an MVP award this year.

Josh Allen’s 40 time

Allen ran the 40-yard dash at 4.75 seconds in the 2018 NFL Combine. He is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks but more towards his size and strength than speed and quickness. His wingspan was listed at 78 inches which was ranked at the 86th percentile and is a 6 feet 5 inch quarterback making him the biggest QB in his class.

Allen’s freak of nature Combine results and build and allowed him to become a dual-threat QB in the NFL and has made the Buffalo Bills one of the most dangerous teams in the AFC and across the league.
