RJ Harvey Jr. is a former college football running back for the UCF Knights. He played with the Virginia Cavaliers before transferring to UCF. Harvey was one of 329 draft prospects invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. At the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, His 5.96 prospect grade puts him as an average backup or special-teamer at the next level. and his Next Gen Stats score of 75 falls into a good category (via the official NFL website). Harvey was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft but has not signed with the team as of April 2025.

Harvey started his college career in 2019 at the University of Virginia as a quarterback. He redshirted his first year not playing and then transferred to the University of Central Florida in 2020 and became a running back. His UCF career started slowly with just two carries for three yards in five games his first year. A preseason camp ACL tear kept him out for the whole 2021 season. Harvey came back strong in 2022 with 796 rushing yards and five touchdowns. His break-out year was in 2023 with 1,416 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as UCF's top rusher. During his 2024 UCF senior year, Harvey finished first in the Big 12 Conference and was third in the nation with 1,577 rushing yards. He had an average of 6.8 yards per rushing attempt and 22 rushing touchdowns. For his UCF career, Harvey had 3,792 yards rushing and 43 rushing touchdowns.
