Former American professional football player Shannon Sharpe was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 26th, 1968. Widely regarded as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, Sharpe showcased exceptional skill and achieved numerous records and honors over an awe-inspiring career of 14 years. Over this time period, he primarily played for the Denver Broncos.


Sharpe’s journey to stardom in the NFL began when he was selected as a very low draft pick in the 7th round of the NFL draft in 1990. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos. In 2023, Shannon Sharpe announced his departure from “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” after agreeing to a buyout with Fox Sports. As of now, Shannon is back as an analyst but with rival ESPN on their hit show 'First Take' where he debates alongside Stephen A. Smith and others.
