Travis Hunter is an American football athlete who played for the Colorado Buffaloes from 2023 to 2024. Hailing from Suwanee, Georgia, United States, he plays both as a cornerback and a wide receiver for the Buffaloes. Travis Hunter began his college football career with the Jackson State Tigers after ending his high school football career in 2022. Since the 2023 season, he has been a member of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Travis Hunter was chosen as the SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2022. He went on to win the Paul Hornung Award and Consensus All-American Award in 2023. He was the recipient of the Heisman Trophy and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Hunter concluded his collegiate career with 167 catches for 2,061 yards and 23 touchdowns while also recording 80 total tackles in 29 games (via Sports Reference).
