6 Superstars who could return or debut on RAW after Royal Rumble

The 2019 Royal Rumble seems to have been a big hit with the WWE Universe with many fans approving and praising WWE's first PPV of 2019.

Seth Rollins won the men's Royal Rumble, while Becky Lynch won the women's Royal Rumble, despite her losing to Asuka earlier in the night. AJ Styles lost to Daniel Bryan once again, but this time due to Erick Rowan's interference in the match.

Finn Balor couldn't tame The Beast as Brock Lesnar walked away from Royal Rumble still holding the Universal title, while Ronda Rousey also defended her title when she faced Sasha Banks.

Following Royal Rumble, let's take a look at 6 Superstars who could return or debut on RAW after Royal Rumble:

#6 Becky Lynch

I hear you all screaming to your screen; yes, Becky Lynch is on SmackDown now, but following her Royal Rumble win, she can pick to face either Ronda Rousey, RAW Women's Champion, or Asuka, SmackDown Women's Champion.

With the history that Lynch and Rousey have, and their match at Survivor Series nixed due to Lynch's injury, this could be the perfect place to set up a future feud between Lynch and Rousey.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion has already ambushed Rousey once, the week leading up to last year's Survivor Series match, and the same formula could be used on this week's RAW.

This would probably lead to Lynch moving to RAW, much like what Asuka did last year following her Royal Rumble win, moving from RAW to SmackDown, to challenge Charlotte Flair.

We could maybe expect Lynch to even open the show by invading RAW and challenging Rousey to come out to face her.

#5 Matt Hardy & #4 Bray Wyatt

The WWE tag division, especially on RAW, has been stale for quite a while now, and it requires new faces and new feuds to freshen things up. The Revival look like they're on their way out, one-half of the AOP is injured, which leaves WWE with just The B-Team, The Ascension, and Lucha House Party as the other options

This would be the perfect time to reintroduce Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt to the fold, with both Superstars seemingly fit and ready to rumble. Hardy even tweeted following the Royal Rumble show about how he's "coming back for number one".

Wyatt's has wrestled in a few house shows, but was absent at the Royal Rumble. Perhaps WWE did not have a spot for him and wanted to give younger stars an opportunity. Wyatt and Hardy won the RAW Tag Team titles last year, and they could maybe given a run against Gable and Roode.

#3 Sami Zayn & #2 Kevin Owens

Two Superstars who have also been rumoured to be ready or at least on the road to recovery are Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who have both been out due to long-term injuries.

Zayn and Owens were announced to return last month by WWE, but there has been no sign of them yet. Many expected them to be surprise entrants at the Royal Rumble, but that didn't happen either.

The top of the card on RAW is currently flooded with stars with the likes of Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, and Drew McIntyre vying for a place at the top, hence Zayn and Owens may not find an opportunity there.

Owens can return to challenge Bobby Lashley, who was the reason (kayfabe) Owens was written off television, while Zayn and Owens could also add some star power to the RAW tag team division which it has sorely lacked.

#1 EC3

EC3 was widely expected to be in the Royal Rumble, but the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion did not feature in the event. EC3 has been seen backstage on RAW and SmackDown for the past few weeks. WWE have not announced yet, the brand that EC3 will compete in, although I believe that he would be a great fit in RAW.

Like Owens, he could initially compete for the Intercontinental title, and then gradually build up from there. The former NXT star hasn't wrestled on the main roster yet, and the RAW after Royal Rumble could be the place where he finally makes his debut.

The WWE Universe will hope that EC3 is not underused like other former NXT stars who have been called onto the main roster, and he gets a shot at one of the titles in the next few months.
