With Crown Jewel less than two weeks away, the build-up to the show continued with Ali and Shorty G being announced as a part of Team Hogan, whilst Roman Reigns became the man to replace Seth Rollins as the team captain.
Braun Strowman was out to send a message to Tyson Fury ahead of their match in the Middle East, whilst the Tag Team Turmoil Match continued to heat up since The New Day and Heavy Machinery teamed up this week to defeat the team of Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, and The Revival.
It was a stacked episode of the show which continued to show the FOX Network the highest level of entertainment that WWE can produce, but whilst many fans were focused on the action, there were a number of things that happened this week that are obscure but quite interesting to note.
#3. Daniel Bryan doesn't have a shirt
Daniel Bryan came out to the aid of Roman Reigns this week on SmackDown after he was attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin a, d Sami Zayn. Bryan came out to the ring interestingly in a plain black shirt, since Bryan doesn't actually have a shirt right now that he could have promoted.
The last Shirt Bryan had made said "Planet's Champion" and since he lost the Tag Team Championships, he hasn't been able to wear it. Right now Bryan is in a strange situation since this was his first match on SmackDown since the move over to FOX and he isn't technically in a storyline, but it was strange to see a superstar wearing a plain black shirt rather than promoting their merchandise.
Later in the night, Bryan entered without a shirt, which seems to be his regular thing to do right now.
#2. Roman Reigns controls his own pyro
The one good thing about WWE's recent move over to the FOX Network with SmackDown is the fact that the company can now bring back pyro. Many Superstars have taken advantage of this, like Alexa Bliss, who has never had pyros as part of her entrance before.
Roman Reigns always had pyro as part of his entrance and has finally now been given it back, so when he punches the stage the fireworks are able to explode and it makes him look like much more of a formidable character.
There has been one slight change to Reigns' entrance in recent weeks since Roman is now able to control his own pyro when he makes his way to the ring, as seen by the video below where Reigns punches a black bag on the floor and makes his pyro suddenly go off.
This is obviously much easier for the production team since they now no longer have to wait for Reigns to punch before pressing a button. Given the production errors on WWE TV as of late, it seems like a sensible change.
#1. Kofi Kingston seemingly asking Tucker to dance on the outside
Kofi Kingston is yet to address the fact that he lost his WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in a matter of seconds, two weeks ago on the debut of SmackDown on FOX, but he seems as though he is loving life without the title.
Kingston wasn't forced to perform this week since Xavier Woods and Big E teamed up with Heavy Machinery, so Kingston remained on the outside throughout the match. The former WWE Champion was an interesting presence though since he was having fun the entire time.
At one point, after Tucker tagged out of the match, Kington can be seen asking Tucker to dance, but it appears that the former NXT star isn't interested in dancing with Kingston since he moves over and gets back on the apron. Later in the match, Tucker can be seen loudly calling to Otis that he needs to move as well because his partner is in the wrong position for him to run in an attempt to make the save.
Despite all of this, Heavy Machinery and The New Day were still the ones who came out on top.
