In early 2024, you can read the WebToon version of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the spin-off that takes place in the universe imagined by Chu Gong, the scenario is signed by Daul and the graphic adaptation will be carried out by Redice Studio. I can give you a scoop: a Korean drama around Solo Leveling is in the works, so get ready.

Throughout the interview, Kwak revealed how much he was fascinated by the Chu Gong’s work and his manhwa’s intricate storyline. He further revealed that he hoped the future for D&C is secure with the line-up of new titles.

About Solo Leveling

The story follows Hunter Sung Jin-Woo, the weakest E-rank hunter in the world, as he is reborn with astounding powers after a near-death experience. He then trains and raises his skills beyond any assigned level, with the powers of the Shadow Monarch at his disposal. Hunter Sung realizes that there is more at stake than it seems and must work hard to save humanity and the world.

As announced during the Anime Expo industry panel 2022, Crunchyroll has licensed the anime adaptation for global release, and here’s how it describes the plot:

It's been over a decade since the sudden appearance of the "gates"—the paths that connect our world with a different dimension. Since then, certain humans have awakened to supernatural powers. We call these individuals "hunters." Hunters make their living by using their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates.

It also said:

In this world of tough customers, the low-ranked hunter Jinwoo Sung is known as "the weakest hunter of all mankind." One day, Jinwoo gets fatally injured when he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden within a low-rank dungeon. Just then, a mysterious quest window appears in front of him. On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to accept the quest and starts leveling up... while the others aren't.

Additional details regarding the new adaptations of Chu Gong’s manhwa will be revealed in time.
