Orlando Magic v Philadelphia 76ers

Orlando Magic 98 – Philadelphia 76ers 84

Arron Afflalo and Tobias Harris scored 16 points apiece and the Magic snapped a 10-game road losing streak with a 98-84 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. For the Sixers, Holiday was 4 for 11 from the field. They were incredibly butterfingered today with a bunch of unforced turnovers and 11 in total. The Magic improved to 16-41 as the Sixers fell to 22-33.

Indiana Pacers 108 – Golden State Warriors 97

They are called the Warriors for a reason. Not that the reason is that they like to put on the gloves and duke it out, but that reason applied to them today. It wasn’t quite Malice in the Palace but there were a bunch of technicals for a lot of shoving. Credit to the Pacers coaching staff for keeping the bench on the bench during the fight. Steph Curry had 23 points in the first half and finished with 38 points. For the Pacers, Paul George had 21 points and 11 rebounds and David West added 28 points with 7 boards. The Pacers improved to 36-21 as the Warriors fell to 33-24.

Miami Heat 141 – Sacramento Kings 129

This was some game. Wade actually missed two freebies in the last minute which would have sealed it. LeBron got blocked in the first overtime and the game went to double overtime. LeBron James scored 40 points and added a career-high 16 assists with 8 boards, Wade had 39 points, and the Heat pushed their winning streak to 12 games by outlasting the Sacramento Kings 141-129 in double overtime. Marcus Thornton had 38 points for the Kings who fell to 19-39 as the Heat improved to 41-14.

Cleveland Cavaliers 101 – Chicago Bulls 98

Dion Waiters scored 25 points, Shaun Livingston added 15 in the same state where he starred in high school and the Cavs held on for a 101-98 victory that snapped an 11-game losing streak against the Bulls. The Bulls had 33 assists on 39 field goals. Luke Walton had a clutch bucket and a steal at the end to seal this for the Cavs. He had 8 points, 5 assists and 5 boards. The Cavs are now 19-38 as the Bulls fall to 32-25.

Brooklyn Nets 101 – New Orleans Hornets 97

The Lopez brothers collided in this one. Brook Lopez had 20 points and 7 boards. Anthony Davis left the game with an arm injury. Vasquez had 20 points, 8 boards and 7 assists. He has been a revelation this season. Williams scored for 11 of his 31 points in the final 1:24 in New Orleans, and the Nets snapped a two-game skid by holding off the Hornets, 101-97. The Nets improved to 34-24 as the Hornets fall to 20-38.

Milwaukee Bucks 95 – Dallas Mavericks 90

Ellis scored 22 points, and the Bucks spoiled Nowitzki’s first game since April 2003 with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a 95-90 victory over the Mavericks. Dirk had 21 points with 20 boards. Monta Ellis added 22 points with 9 assists for the Bucks. The Mavs are rapidly slipping away from the playoffs as they fell to 25-31 and the Bucks improved to 27-28.

Phoenix Suns 84 – Minnesota Timberwolves 83

Marcin Gortat hit big shots at the end of regulation and overtime, helping the Suns end a three-game losing streak with an 84-83 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rubio was just 2 of 12 from the field and missed a shot at the end of regulation which would have won it. Williams had 21 points and 12 boards for the Wolves and Johnson added 14 with 9 boards for the Suns. Kirelinko left the game with a calf injury and did not return. The Suns improved to 19-39 as the Wolves improved to 20-34.

Los Angeles Clippers 106 – Charlotte Bobcats 84

Blake Griffin scored 24 points, keying a decisive second-quarter burst that put the Clippers in command en route to a 106-84 victory that improved their home record to 23-6. They had a season high 34 assists on 41 field goals in this one. The Clippers are now 41-18 and the Bobcats fell to 13-44.
