Tom Brady's personal life seems to have taken precedence over the NFL of late. On his podcast, "Fearless," journalist Jason Whitlock discussed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback's decision to reportedly choose football over his wife Gisele Bündchen. Here's what Whitlock said:

"It’s not a coincidence that Tom Brady’s career and family are collapsing at the same time. He violated sacred covenants in pursuit of a football legacy that could go no higher. Tom Brady bought the lie that you could have it all."

The seven-time Super Bowl winner called it a career at the culmination of the 2021 season after 22 campaigns in the NFL. However, the 45-year-old had a change of heart, deciding to play in the 2022 season. Rumor has it that the reversal didn't sit well with Bündchen.

During Buccaneers training camp, the three-time NFL MVP was noticeably absent, only to return 11 days later. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the majority of the week-and-a-half absence was for a family vacation in the Bahamas. Brady was fulfilling a promise he made to Gisele that he would vacation with them for the first time in two decades. However, the decision to return reportedly led to an argument between the couple and Gisele left for Costa Rica.

Despite the family vacation, it's rumored that the former New England Patriots star and the Brazilian supermodel are getting a divorce. However, the talk might just be that and the rumors could be false. Either way, many fans and analysts are questioning whether the 15-time Pro Bowler should retire to salvage his marriage.

Should Tom Brady retire before the end of the 2022 season for his marriage?

In a recent issue of Us Weekly magazine, Gisele has given her husband a choice to make regarding his career. According to an insider, the decision was he world retire or she would be gone forever:

“Gisele told Tom either he leaves football to spend time with the family or she is gone for good. She doesn’t want him to continue to get injured and not be able to enjoy life in the future. She is doing it for her family.”

However, Brady recently suggested that retirement isn't on the radar and he's more so focused on the Buccaneers:

"There's no immediate retirement in my future. There was a retirement in the past, but I moved on from that. I made a commitment to this team and I love this team and I love this organization. I told them in March I was playing and I've never quit on anything in my life."

The Buccaneers currently sit with a record of 3-4, tied atop the NFC South. In Week 8 they host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. We will see how they get on in this big game.
