WWE Monday Night Raw: 17 November 2014 - Superstar ratings

The November 17 edition of Monday Night Raw wasn’t exactly a ground breaking show but it certainly met the expectations to an extent. The creative team was hell bound in making the traditional elimination main event look like the biggest match of the year and they succeeded in that attempt thanks to some unexpected twists and turns.Rest of the pay-per-view’s undercard was still unbaked but the entire show got stolen by the shuffle that happened in Team Cena. A surprising title change was another talking point of the show which didn’t have any soul away from the Power struggle. And just like always, here is a look at who all struck gold and who all bit the dust with this week’s Superstar Ratings for Monday Night Raw.

#1 Brie Bella 5.5

The contest between Brie Bella and Nikki Bella wasn’t a great bout but the match did have a story to tell. Nikki’s plan was to make both AJ and Brie look bad in one shot but that backfired on the No.1 contender when Brie managed to sneak in a win against her sister with some help from AJ.

#2 Cesaro 6

Cesaro’s career has been on a downhill spiral throughout the year but that descent picked up more speed after his comments about Cena and Orton. The Swiss Superman continued his losing streak on Raw even after a great performance and its better if he finds a job elsewhere rather than wasting his talent in WWE.

#3 Tyson Kidd 6

After that great match at SmackDown, Tyson Kidd came to Raw to face Adam Rose. Though Kidd got a much needed win, his effort was overshadowed by what happened between Rose and the Bunny after the match. It was clearly a bad decision to waste Kidd once again even though he has proved his mettle a million times.

#4 Sheamus 6.5

There were teases of Sheamus turning heel here and there but getting knocked out in the end wasn’t among the plans. The Celtic Warrior looks set to miss Survivor Series which was a bit surprising. However, he could now return as a refreshed heel, which is never a bad thing.

#5 Big Show 7

November might be Show’s favorite month of the year because every match he has turned up for looked nothing less than solid. Locking horns with Sheamus was another great bout and though it didn’t end pretty well for Team Cena, WWE did find out that the duo had flawless chemistry.

#6 Dolph Ziggler 7

No matter what WWE does to him, Ziggler delivers his part perfectly. He was attracting a lot of sympathy for the beating he took at the start of the show and the fans are really rallying behind him. Losing the championship is a big blow without any doubt, but with the fans behind him, Ziggler could easily recover.

#7 Goldust and Stardust 7

The Tag Team Champions will have odds stacked against them at Survivor Series when the three other teams would be fighting it out for the gold. There was some need of momentum for the duo before the pay-per-view and that came around on Raw thanks to the win against Usos and Matadores.

#8 Rusev 7

Rusev went back to a typical squash match on Raw this week when he destroyed Heath Slater. Apart from that, the Bulgarian Brute went on to take out Sheamus from Team Cena, which was a big achievement indeed. Sheamus however will be back to seek revenge soon which will be a headache for the United States Champion.

#9 Miz and Mizdow 7.5

If Dolph Ziggler was the biggest fan favourite in this week’s Raw, then Mizdow had to be second. No one else got the reaction that he managed to pull off and that too by playing a character that was destined to be doomed. With the momentum in their side, the duo might go all the way at Survivor Series and come out as Tag Team Champions.

#10 Erick Rowan 7.5

The internet fan community was beginning to curse the WWE creative for making Rowan look goofy with the Renee Young angle. However, that is going to change after what happened on Raw thanks to WWE’s willingness to take some risk, which now means let Rowan will be in the Survivor Series main event.

#11 Seth Rollins 7.5

Rollins didn’t have much to do in between the ropes this week other than a vicious curb stomp to Dolph Ziggler. However, the Architect shined big time in the microphone time that he got and Rollins is sure to come out as a bigger star once Survivor Series is concluded.

#12 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon 7.5

While Team Cena stole the show this week, it was The Authority who played the perfect villains. Stephanie and Hunter were at their best in teasing and taunting Cena. When Triple H laid his hands on the Cenation leader, there was even a tease of Triple H actually wrestling on Sunday but as things stand now, it still remains a tease.

#13 Ryback 7.5

It was all about Ryback in the last edition of Raw. The big guy did take a step back this time around but did enough damage to make everyone notice. His win against Cesaro was nothing short of spectacular and the face to face confrontation with Triple H gave the fans an idea about how high the management is about him.

#14 Luke Harper 8

Guess what? Luke Harper won a singles championship in WWE before Bray Wyatt. With the talent that Harper had, this win was always coming but things did look a rushed on Raw. Hopefully, the win won’t tie him down to the midcard since he could contribute a lot more for the main event scene.

#15 John Cena 8

Cena and his team mates literally invaded Raw this week. The story of Cena struggling to keep his members intact was the back-bone of the show and seeing a triumphant moment after all those struggles made the fans ecastic when the final lineup was revealed in the closing moments.
