WWE Smackdown: March 5, 2015 - 5 Promising Developments

Another week has passed and another episode of Smackdown made its way to reiterate the fact that it no longer wants to be considered the B-Show compared to Raw.It has a long way to go but there were many developments that may trigger into something substantial happening in the future, in the very near future that is. WWE continued with giving more screen time to the women's feud compared to the past couple of years. And the Intercontinental title continued to be the centre of attention.Here are the five promising developments from this weeks Smackdown.

#5 Fatal Four Way?

There was a little moment in between the match between Brie Bella and AJ Lee where the two women and Paige and Nikki Bella looked at each other and that may be a forecast for what the division has in store, come Wrestlemania.

The heel momentum that the Bellas have gathered with their unsettled teamwork may be in jeopardy as they might not be a team at Wrestlemania.

Since the Bellas feud last year was a major embarrassment, it seems Paige may win the title to have a feud with Charlotte, who may be debuting in the main roster soon.

#4 Star\'ry night?

It was more or less expected that Ambrose, Barrett, Luke Harper and R-Truth will be joined by Dolph Ziggler in the Wrestlemania ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship.We still expect Daniel Bryan to enter that match up and it’ll happen slowly but steadily.

But nobody could have thought that Stardust will make his presence felt and be interested in being the IC champion.

This is a huge boost for the young Rhodes, who once had the same promise and momentum of the likes of Ziggler. And he’s a welcome addition to this entertaining mix of superstars and it just helps one to greatly believe that the ladder match may steal the show at Wrestlemania.

#3 The (R) Truth will save you

For months, we were bereft of the presence of this superstar.But every time he’s put in a marquee storyline or match, one has to think why he’s put away from the spotlight so much.

He’s spectacular and he’s hilarious. He’s likeable and that is the biggest point in his favor. He has been stealing the show every time he’s made an appearance for this IC title feud.

And that too amidst the likes of Dean Ambrose, resident showoff Dolph Ziggler and momentary appearances by Daniel Bryan. This is the best Truth has been allowed to be since 2011.

#2 A little ray of hope?

It’s not at all surprising that Jacks Swagger is back to having no momentum. He’s been defeated by Rusev so many times, one has to think, why is he even fighting. But if one thinks carefully and then overthinks about this situation, there may be some hope in this seemingly hopeless situation.

There have been momentary altercations between the two even when they were not feuding. Swagger’s gimmick is that of a patriot and he’s been a recurring thorn in Rusev’s path.

What if there is something to it? What if there is a story behind it? What if Swagger beats Rusev out of nowhere? That will be some massive momentum.

#1 In retrospect

This was a night which did not boast of a great show but it had some really good moments to harp about.

Firstly, it looks more apparent that Daniel Bryan will eye the title now that he was attacked by Stardust and he has some beef to pick up with the superstar. And the movement in the WWE to #GiveDivasAChance is getting stronger with The Bellas, AJ Lee and Paige getting more screentime.

All in all, these feuds are turning out to look entertaining despite the Triple-Sting feud, Lesnar-Reigns feud, Rollins-Orton feud, Rusev-Cena and Wyatt-Undertaker. Wrestlemania looks really promising.
