WWE Survivor Series 2014: 5 possible twists that could happen at the Pay-Per-View

The band of rebels led by John Cena will square off against the band of heels led by Triple H on Sunday to determine the future of WWE’s power structure. Though the WWE is selling their entire pay-per-view with this match as the centre piece, there is some great fire power in the undercard as well.Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose in particular might be a surprise package while the four team title match looks destined to be a fun outing. There is a lot of expectations riding on the AJ – Nikki match after the rumor of AJ leaving WWE broke out and the traditional match involving women is always welcomed. One thing that WWE desperately wants to add into the pay-per-view will be shock value. Some twists and serves are sure to happen on Sunday and here is a look at the most possible ones.

#5 The Big return or debuts

Due to the sheer importance of Survivor Series in the WWE calendar, we might see more returns in the pay-per-view than any other one that happened this year.

Fandango and Bad News Barrett are confirmed names that will make an appearance on the show even if the latter doesn’t wrestle. The surprise names lined up are more exciting. There is Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Roman Reigns who could burst into the scene out of nowhere and make a big impact.

Brock Lesnar is another name that could grab the headlines on Sunday but apart from the returns, a debuting Sting has made the rumor mills buzzing. If any of those surprise returns or debut happens, the WWE Universe won’t have much to complain about after all.

#4 Ambrose and Bray steals the show

The feud between Ambrose and Bray has all the potential to be ‘the’ feud of the year but has been suffering due to lack of buildup. They were overshadowed big time by the Team Cena – Team Authority angle but the duo could prove their worth at Survivor Series.

From their past encounters, we are well aware about the chemistry that these two possesses and when they take it to a pay-per-view stage, its sure shot money maker.

If this match becomes the best one from the night after the show is over, WWE will be left red faced about screwing the opportunity but at the same time, we can expect a better buildup for these two if they are scheduled all the way to TLC.

#3 Turns that could happen in the main event

Turns have been part of the Survivor Series tradition for a long time. There is this sense of happiness all among the WWE Universe whenever someone pulls off a betrayal and Sunday won’t be any different.

There are a lot of swerves that could happen at the show in both the main event teams. Dolph Ziggler is a likely candidate that could turn from Cena’s side as he desperately needs a direction change to revive his career.

From Hunter’s side, Rusev and Lana could just walk away in between the match since WWE has a need of protecting him from being pinned. Erick Rowan is another candidate to turn but above all, if Cena does a heel turn, then WWE is not going to need any Sting or Undertaker to sell their next WrestleMania.

#2 Main Eventers get replaced

Team Authority found it fun to take out the members of Team Cena one by one. And if you thought that the hobby is over, think again. Hunter’s pack could easily take out some of the names from Team Cena at Survivor Series and put them into a miserable position.

This will also open up the door for some replacements in the main event. The possible candidates that can be taken out are Big Show and Erick Rowan, instead WWE could give Cesaro a face turn and let him join or even get someone who is making a big return.

Hunter’s team can also get some restructuring as the writers could easily take out Kane from the mix and introduce Triple H, which will in turn double the stakes.

#1 Team Cena losing

The battle between Team Cena and Team Authority is apparently doomed by predictability ever since Hunter added the firing stipulation. The fans are pretty sure that an entire group of baby faces would not be fired on Sunday but what if they do get fired?

An ending where Authority wins could turn out to be the biggest shock in recent history and names like Ryback, Erick Rowan, Big Show and Dolph Ziggler would be at the Authority’s mercy.

It provides WWE with two options. Either they could use the four men as Hunter’s slave just to keep them in the pay roll.

Or they could always run an outsiders angle where they are not working for the company but still shows up every now and then to ruin the smooth running.
