WWE Survivor Series 2014: 5 superstars who will shine at the pay-per-view

Survivor Series being one of the ‘big four’ pay-per-views is clearly a credible platform for superstars to make their mark. Over its rich course of history, Survivor Series has seen many legendary names steal the show and this year’s edition looks set to be the same.Hell in a Cell was packed with great in ring performers and certain names came out elevating their career graph with that outing. The effects of delivering a good performance at Survivor Series however would be more effective.Of course there is a lot of pressure on everyone when it comes to the show but it’s this same pressure that separates the men from the boys. So here is a rundown on who all would shine bright at WWE’s next pay-per-view outing.

#5 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose has been the easy pick for this list ever since he parted ways with the Shield. Over the past few months, Ambrose has established himself as a lovable lunatic who evokes that reaction from the crowd which only belonged to Daniel Bryan.

He was a standout performer at Hell in a Cell as well with all the madness around. Ambrose then started off his feud with Bray Wyatt which ensures a match between the two at Survivor Series.

The Ambrose – Wyatt feud has been nothing short of spectacular in the short time that we got to experience it for and the in ring action between the two might turn out to be more brilliant.

There will be a lot of insanity in between the ropes when these two clash. And Ambrose would make sure that he won’t get eclipsed by Wyatt.

#4 John Cena

Even if the WWE Universe doesn’t like it, John Cena is going to be a stand out performer at Survivor Series. No, this does not mean that he will bring a whole new arsenal of moves into the pay-per-view apart from his regular ones, it just means that he will get a good booking as always.

Cena will be leading his team into a war against Team Authority and the chances of Cena being eliminated are even worse than the chances of Hornswoggle winning the WWE championship one day by making Brock Lesnar tap out.

At the end of the match, Cena might end up being the sole survivor while guys like Rollins and Ziggler would be screwed in one form or the other.

#3 Rusev

Rusev’s ascension looks set to reach a whole different level at Survivor Series where he might end up getting the United States Championship from Sheamus.

The Bulgarian Brute has gone on to demolish each and every soul that was laid in front of him by the company and there is a certain lack of options left.

Lana challenged Sheamus at last week’s SmackDown and if the writers are so drunk on him, Rusev is sure to walk out of Survivor Series with the gold. And the best part in all of this is that Rusev will look good while he destroys Sheamus.

The Celtic Warrior is one of those heavily protected names in the roster and if Rusev gets a win over him, he is going to be among the top performers of the pay-per-view.

#2 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt’s last match was at Raw Season Premier where he faced off against Chris Jericho in a steel cage match. It was clearly the best match in that feud and since then, the eater of the world has been restricted to the microphone.

He was the big headline grabber back at Hell in a Cell when he laid out Dean Ambrose at the main event and since it would be Bray’s first match in a long time, he could replicate the feat at Survivor Series as well.

He has an interesting opponent in the form of Dean Ambrose at the pay-per-view and the ring would be spilling psychology and madness when these two lock horns. And if Bray completes the match without interference from the usual, then that would make the night more special for him.

#1 Randy Orton

Orton was being wasted as another stale character in the Authority till he started feeling jealous about all the sugar treatment that Seth Rollins was getting.

There is no news on where Orton would be booked at Survivor Series but he is likely to be a part of team authority. And this is going to keep all the eyes on him.

The Viper obviously has a lot of friction with Hunter and his pack after that RKO out of nowhere and we are sure to see a swerve with Orton being the protagonist. Considering both the possible options, Orton will come out looking good.

We might get a newly turned Orton after Survivor Series and all these make him the potential star of the pay-per-view.
