Novak Djokovic, a devout member of the Serbian Orthodox Church, has also had his children baptised as the church's members as well, according to reports emerging from Serbia.

On Tuesday, videos of the Serb interacting with fans at the Ostrog Monastery surfaced on social media. It was reported that the video was filmed after the christening of his son Stefan and daughter Tara.

The Ostrog Monastery is one of the most popular pilgrimage places in Montenegro, and it is traditional for pilgrims to walk the three kilometers distance from the lower monastery to the upper monastery barefoot.

Novak Djokovic married his wife Jelena in 2014, and the couple welcomed their son Stefan the same year. Their daughter Tara was born three years later in 2017.

Speaking after his historic 2023 US Open triumph, the 24-time Grand Slam champion revealed that he had always wanted to experience the feeling of winning a Major in front of his children, especially after they were old enough to realize what was happening.

"When I became a father that was one of my wishes, that I would live the day to experience winning a Slam in front of them and they realize what's going on, that they are old enough to understand what's going on." he said.

Stefan, nine years old now, has already started playing tennis together with his father, filling the World No. 1 with enormous joy.

"It's a huge pleasure for me to be able to play tennis with my son. Just that feeling alone that my son loves and wants to play the sport I've dedicated my life to is beautiful. When we're together on the court, there is no better feeling in the world," Djokovic said earlier this year.

"My son Stefan, he's eight years old and he's excited about tennis, about tennis world, about anything that is related to tennis. Whether it is watching tennis, playing tennis, picking up balls-whatever."

Djokovic added:

"He asked me last night, he was like, 'Daddy, I know you're leaving early but I want to be with you, you know from the moment you leave the house, I want to be with you the entire day."

The 36-year-old is scheduled to make his next appearance on the court in the Rolex Paris Masters, which commences on 30 October.
