Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been larger than life image in the WWE Universe. Coming from a family with rich heritage and culture in wrestling, Johnson debuted in 1998 under the name of Rocky Maivia. The Rock’s popularity among the crowd was fueled by his charisma and his humorous catchphrases and one-liners, which would amuse the crowd as well as provide WWE with merchandising opportunities.

At his prime in the Attitude Era, The Rock feuded with hardcore wrestlers like Stone Cold, Owen Hart, Triple H, and Brock Lesnar. In short, The Rock did it all in the WWE. From charismatic promos to catchy phrases, he moulded himself in the exact way the company wanted him to be. In the process, The Rock scripted some unique records throughout the years. Let us take a look at the 3 unique records that the Rock Holds in WWE.

#3 Unique three-second pinfall

Raising the bar since the beginning of the career

Timing is what matters in a wrestling match, and this match in Survivor Series 1998 proved the fact very well. The Survivor Series 1998 was an interesting tournament that saw several wrestlers going for the vacant WWE title. While the noteworthy performers competing to win the belt were Mankind, Triple H, Steve Austin, The Undertaker and The Rock, underdogs like The Big Boss Man were also in the tournament. In the opening rounds, Steve Austin defeated The Big Boss Man by disqualification and progressed into the next round when Boss Man hit him with a nightstick.

But the real drama unfolded when The Rock came out to face Triple H and surprisingly, The Game did not appear for the match owing to his knee injury. Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson brought out a replacement, and it was found to be none other than the Big Boss Man. As soon as Bossman entered the ring, the Rock rolled him up for an immediate pinfall win within three seconds and secured his place in the next rounds through a quick victory. Since then, this record has been matched twice but has not been broken.

The Rock’s appearances in the WWE have now been limited only to special events. Whether it was his ‘Once in a Lifetime ’match against John Cena or the rematch the next year or his feud with CM Punk with the WWE Championship, all his programs had the fan support. But when The Rock came down as the host of WrestleMania 32, he was interrupted and stared down by The Wyatt family.

So, the Rock agreed to an impromptu match against Eric Rowan. In a blink and you will miss a moment, The People’s Champ Rock-Bottomed Rowan to clinch the fastest victory in WrestleMania history. Post-match, he was outnumbered by The Wyatt Family and that was when his two-time WrestleMania opponent, John Cena came down and saved The Brahma Bull to knock the rest of the Wyatts down. The segment ended when Rock and Cena walked up to the ramp before The People’s Champ raised Cena’s arm.

This is one record that the Rock should not be so boastful about. CM Punk was a record- time WWE Championship holder, and when The Rock got a Championship opportunity, it was up to The Brahma Bull to end Punk’s reign. At Royal Rumble 2013, John Cena won the 30-man Royal Rumble to secure his position at that year’s WrestleMania and on the same night, The Rock put an end to CM Punk’s 434-day hold on the WWE Championship. Of course, a Cena vs. Rock II program was in the making and with the Championship on the line, so it got more exciting.

Punk would get his title shot at the next pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber, but The Rock defended his title successfully. At WrestleMania 29, Cena would seal the victory with an Attitude Adjustment to The Brahma Bull to secure his 15th WWE Championship.
