5 Things Vince McMahon should do for the sake of the fans: Part 2

Vince McMahon
Will Vince McMahon listen to our demands?

The fans can speculate as much as they want but the final power rests with Vince McMahon. He can toy with our emotions like a puppeteer or keep us intrigued.

However, one thing which we can be vocal about is our opinions. Remember, if it wasn't for us, Daniel Bryan would have never main-evented WrestleMania 31. In Part 1, we have highlighted some of our concerns. Here are the remaining ones.

#5 Reduce the number of matches in PPV

WWrestlemania 34
A lengthy match card at Wrestlemania 34

One of the major reasons why WrestleMania didn't live up to the hype this year was due to a marathon match card. What can the producers do if you have 14 matches stacked up? If it wasn't for the TakeOver, the fans would have gone home disappointed.

Many matches fail to live up to their expectations because of the short time they are given. We have a feeling that with PPV's getting dual branded, the case would just be opposite. They can't keep stars like Kevin Owen and Sami Zayn in the pre-show all the time. What solution will WWE come up with? We have to wait and find out.

#4 Let go of part-timers

John Cena
WWE has a lot of part-timers like John Cena

Part-timers are the most intelligent workers of the pro-wrestling business. They work the least and earn the most. Surely, they have a rich legacy to reach that stature, but still, it doesn't help the case.

WWE looks at it as a brilliant business model. Make a couple of wrestlers fight ten times a year and make millions out of it. What they don't realize is that they are falling into their own trap. How will you make future stars if you can't let go of the past?

Would the Women's Revolution be possible if they didn't let go of their past? Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Naomi, Becky Lynch and other female wrestlers would have remained underutilized if it weren't so. Something similar is happening with the male roster. None of the NXT call-ups are able to replicate their run on the main roster.

If WWE continues with this tactic, don't get surprised to see Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, Adam Cole and others suffer the same fate.

#3 Form stables

Sanity
Sanity is finally coming to the main roster

After the brand split, the fans were welcomed with a vast roster. Everyone had a different story to tell but the creatives failed to capitalize on them.

NJPW produces a solution to it. Form stables and maintain heat among one another. In that way, everyone will have a story and the fans will remain fascinated. Simultaneously, the heat within the stable can add more drama.

Sanity is on its way and Drew McIntyre has formed an alliance with Dolph Ziggler. The New Day is a living example of the WWE production. Rather than restricting the number to three, WWE should expand it to have more people. Will WWE assemble together Superstars with similar interest or let them go solo? Only time will tell.

#2 Give mentorship roles to the seniors

Randy Orton
Will the Viper pass on his legacy?

One of the ways to catapult one's career is making an experienced wrestler be his on-screen mentor. Kevin Owens was the last one to be benefitted by it and Drew McIntyre seems to be the next one in line. We have also seen how it works if you get a wrong mentor. Yes, we are talking about Apollo Crews.

The scenario is a little different in the WWE than the indies. The idea of Evolution having a past, present and future superstar can come in handy now. We believe that Randy Orton is the perfect star to play the role if he wants to pass on his legacy.

In that way, you make a lot of money out of them without extracting their full potential. The idea of part-timers are getting outdated but this is a new one in the market.

#1 Have better storylines

Jinder Mahal
One of the worst storylines of 2017- Jinder Mahal's title run

Most of the fans will agree that the promos and storylines are getting less compelling as it used to be earlier. No one other than the scriptwriters are to be blamed.

Whose idea was it to give Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura cut promos in English? They should have realized after one promo that the fans won't engage in it. Moreover, the anti-authority storyline of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn didn't have the same zeal as that of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Again, who should step forward to take the responsibility?

These storylines could have helped them cementing their legacy in the WWE main roster. Alas, WWE laid waste to it. With PG restrictions imposed on them, they can't replicate the 'Attitude Era.' But, at least there should be some life on them. If Vince McMahon knows what is best for business, then it is better WWE produces some better storylines.
