WWE has announced the two triple-threat matches for tonight's RAW at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

The tournament to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion will start on the upcoming episode of RAW. There will be two triple-threat matches, with the winners facing each other in the main event to determine one of the finalists.

Byron Saxton broke the news in a WWE Digital Exclusive clip. Seth Rollins will face Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest in the first triple-threat match. Meanwhile, it will be Cody Rhodes vs. The Miz vs. Finn Balor in the second triple-threat bout.

Two of the favorites to win the World Heavyweight Championship are on RAW — Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. It will be interesting to see if they will win their respective triple threat match and face each other in the main event of the upcoming edition of the red brand.

Two more triple-threat matches are expected for WWE SmackDown

Triple H first announced the format of the tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship. He followed it up by revealing that superstars from RAW and SmackDown are eligible to win the red brand-exclusive title.

While the two triple-threat matches for RAW have been announced, there's still no word on the matchups for this Friday's SmackDown. The six tournament participants for the blue brand are Edge, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, AJ Styles, and Austin Theory.

All six superstars definitely deserved a crack at the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge never lost his world title when he gave it up due to an injury that sent him to retirement in 2011.

Mysterio and Sheamus have held the previous reiteration of the championship, while Lashley and Styles are former WWE Champions. Theory is the current United States Champion and is definitely one of the future world champions on the roster.
