What’s the story?
In an interview with the New York Post, UFC President Dana White addressed several questions pertaining to the MMA promotion.
White asserted that Ronda Rousey will not be coming back to the UFC; alluding to the fact that Rousey is now WWE-bound.
In case you didn’t know…
Ronda Rousey is widely regarded as a Women’s MMA pioneer and proven box office attraction—one of the highest-grossing combat sports stars of all time.
Nevertheless, Rousey suffered a brutal knockout loss to former boxing world champion Holly Holm, losing the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship to the latter in their 2015 bout. Rousey competed only once since the fight, again in a KO loss, to Amanda Nunes in December of 2016.
The heart of the matter
Per the vast majority of professional wrestling industry experts, Ronda Rousey could make her debut as an official member of the WWE roster this year.
UFC boss and Rousey’s close friend Dana White was probed about the former’s MMA status, in response to which White explained that he doesn’t see her returning to the UFC for another fight.
Resultantly, pro-wrestling pundits now believe this to be further validation of the speculation that Rousey will indeed transition to the world of sports-entertainment as a WWE Superstar in the near future.
What’s next?
The first-ever All-Women’s Royal Rumble Match will take place at the Royal Rumble PPV which airs from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 28th.
Several betting sites have listed Rousey as a favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble matchup. Regardless, Rousey hasn’t confirmed any talk of wrestling in the WWE…for now.

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey is perhaps one of the most polarizing figures in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
