WWE News: The feud between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks is set to end at Roadblock

The rivalry that has defined the Women’s Revolution will come to an end

The Four Horsewomen have been raising the standards of women’s wrestling in WWE for quite some time. From their main events in NXT to their matches on the main roster, women’s wrestling has been elevated due mostly to the rivalry between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, which will come to an end at Roadblock: End of the Line.

In the video package for the rivalry between Flair and Banks, WWE said that this would be the end of the rivalry, which could indicate that there will be no rematch clause to invoke, following their 30-minute Iron Man match for the Raw Women’s Championship.

WWE also indicated that the rivalry would come to a close on Twitter with a similar package:

During this rivalry, the Championship has changed hands five times in the last five months. The first title change took place on the first post-WWE Draft episode of Raw where Banks won the title for the first time. The second took place at SummerSlam and ended with Flair regaining the championship.

This pattern of Banks winning on Raw and Charlotte winning at the PPV has been consistent throughout their feud but could be broken, depending on a potential match in the near future.

One of the rumoured matches for WrestleMania was a feud between Banks and Bayley for the Raw Women’s Champion. If the company still wishes to go in that direction, then this could indicate that Banks will retain at Roadblock: End of the Line and break Charlotte’s PPV undefeated streak.

For fans who follow NXT, their rivalry goes back to their days in the faction known as The Beautiful Fierce Females that debuted in August of 2013.

Before they were rivals, they were part of the Beautiful Fierce Female Faction with Summer Rae

According to cagematch.net, Banks and Flair have faced each other 35 times between 2013 and 2016. Of those matches, there have been 14 one-on-one encounters between the two.

Both women have a myriad of accomplishments between them as the 2016 Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) Female 50 ranked Charlotte Flair the #1 women’s wrestler with Sasha Banks as #2. Sasha Bank was awarded match of the year for her bout against Bayley at NXT Takeover: Respect and was named Woman of the year in by PWI in 2015.

Charlotte, who debuted in 2013, was named Rookie of the Year by PWI in 2014. Both women made history this year by not only being the first women to compete inside Hell in a Cell but the first women to main event a WWE PPV.
