WWE RAW Preview: Where is CM Punk?

RAW this week will be live from XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. With the top wrestlers of the roster out due to injury, WWE has been spending a very difficult time trying to put together proper script for the three hour show. They did a decent job last week, with the Shield proving their saviour once again. Though a majority of people missed the likes of CM Punk and Ziggler, WWE somehow managed to maintain their ratings from dropping drastically. Without further ado, let’s now look at the top 5 questions that WWE needs to answer on RAW this week.

1. Where is CM Punk?

CM Punk has been scheduled to fight Chris Jericho when he returns at Payback two weeks from now. The question that remains, however is, where is CM Punk? He’s been quite elusive all these weeks and WWE has done enough to keep him away from public view. But another huge question that fans have now raised is if CM Punk will even make it to Payback. Heyman’s acceptance of the challenge Jericho put forth means nothing in real, as Punk hasn’t announced his return. It will be interesting to see how WWE tackles Punk’s return.

2. Will John Cena payback for Ryback’s assault last week?

Ryback last week tricked John Cena straight into an assault, which he somehow managed to escape. He lost his match against Curt Axel which gave the newcomer his second big victory in two weeks. Having lost the match and a bit of reputation, Cena will now look to redeem himself by paying back Ryback some of his own treatment.

3. Is Team Hell No done with the Shield?

Team Hell No lost their rematch for the title against the Shield last week. The match was one worth watching as it made it to the top of the best matches list of this year. It remains to be seen if WWE is done with Team Hell No or not. Will Team Hell No get another shot at the title? Or will the Shield face a new contender? Let’s hope WWE spices the Shield angle a bit more and bring out two or three teams into the foray to make it interesting.

4. Payback match card

With only two matches confirmed for Payback, WWE now needs to make a huge rush to book the entire card for the PPV. With several important feuds remaining, WWE needs to start making decisions quickly as to how they want to book wrestlers like Fandango, Wade Barrett, Miz and not to forget other promising talent like Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow.

5. Will Curt Axel make it 3 in a row?

The newest Paul Heyman guy, Curt Axel, has had a dream debut. Maybe a lot of credit should go to his manager Heyman for giving him such a start. He beat Triple H in his first match and then Cena in his second. Though the victories didn’t come clean, I feel Heyman and Axel will still take it. It remains to be seen now if WWE make Axel continue with his victory run and make it three in a row.
