WWE SmackDown this week was live from Des Moines, Iowa and the show begins with the stage being decked in Christmas glory with presents all around. The announce team of Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Booker T welcome the TV audience to the special episode of SmackDown with the main event being an Intercontinental title match involving Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens & champion Dean Ambrose.
WWE Tag Team Title Match: The Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day

As is usual with all New Day matches off late, the match begins with a promo by the tag team champions The New Day, stating how they are the most deserving of the Tag Team of the year slammy. Kingston even announces a Christmas album from the faction and the trio start dancing until Sin Cara and Kalisto make their entrance.
The match begins and for the most part, is a back and forth affair, with Kofi & Big E going to work on the smaller team, with Woods egging them on from ringside. The end of the match sees a flurry from the Lucha Dragons, with Kalisto even hitting a Salida Del Sol on Big E.
However, distractions from both Kofi & Woods distracts Sin Cara who is finished with a ‘Big Ending’ from Big E, when he attempts his finishing move from the top rope.
Winners: The New Day
Rowan starts off the match with Ryback, followed by D-Von and Bubba who dominate the proceedings until Harper gains the advantage. The first highpoint comes in after Braun Strowman tags in and goes after Kane.
After a back and forth affair between the two teams, the end comes in when D-Von jumps off the apron onto Braun who slams him on the floor and Wyatt hits Sister Abigail on Bubba for the win.

The Usos vs. Rusev and Alberto Del Rio
It’s an exciting match between two of the most realistic workers in the tag team division. The match begins with Rusev & Del Rio quickly taking advantage on the Usos. However, they finally get a tag and execute the dives over the top ropes. But Rusev pries the advantage back with kick.
The team of Del Rio & Rusev pick up the win after Del Rio hits the double stomp off the top rope on Jimmy Uso.
Winners: Rusev and Alberto Del Rio
Battle for Christmas: Neville and Titus O’Neil vs. The Ascension
On the eve of a Christmas special episode, the good guys pick up the win after Neville hits Red Arrow on Viktor

Brie Bella vs. Charlotte
The tease of a dissension between Becky & Charlotte continues as Becky gets soaked in Egg Nog by Team BAD, while Charlotte picks up a win over Brie Bella with a figue-four leg lock.
Winner: Charlotte
It is an exciting triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental title as Ambrose picks up the advantage over both Owens & Ziggler. The Christmas set is a prop in the match as Ziggler gets sent into the stage multiple times.
The ending comes after Ambrose hits Ziggler with the Dirty Deeds for the win after Ziggler nails Owens with a superkick.
