Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4, Kengo/Shinzo, was released on Sunday, April 28, 2024, on MBS, TBS, and other networks in Japan. The episode focused on a spy game of tag among Taiyo, Mutsumi, and Kengo. Additionally, the episode saw Taiyo showcase the fruits of his training during a mission to save Shinzo.

Undoubtedly, the major highlight of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 was Taiyo Asano's growing bond with Kengo and Shinzo. Not only did Mutsumi's elder brothers acknowledge Taiyo, but they also protected him. Aside from that, the episode contained plenty of anime-only scenes.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 highlights: The Yozakura antics set up Taiyo's morning

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 begins with a light-hearted scene, where Taiyo Asano asks Mutsumi how to put on a woman's undergarment. When the girl gets the wrong idea, he quickly clears the confusion and reveals he has been practicing his disguise skills.

At that moment, Kengo enters the room disguised as a woman and tells Taiyo that he will show him how it's done. Besides Kengo, Shinzo arrives at the scene and becomes a witness to the Yozakura Family's morning madness.

Following the commotion, Shinzo informs Taiyo Asano that he's going on a "low-level" mission to retrieve the original plate for counterfeit money. Before leaving, he tells Taiyo something that the episode doesn't reveal at that time.

After the early morning antics, Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 shows Taiyo and Mutsumi walking to the school. Amid their conversation, a baseball comes flying toward Taiyo, but he easily catches it without even looking at the incoming ball.

During the lunch break, Mutsumi informs Taiyo that perhaps he hasn't noticed, but he has been becoming "superhuman" thanks to the training. According to her, some students have already given him the nickname "Ninja" because they can't sense his presence or hear his footsteps.

As such, she advises him to be slightly careful about not giving himself away. Besides that, Mutsumi asks Taiyo whether he is free after school. She wants him to help him with something when they return home.

After returning to the Yozakura mansion, Mutsumi takes care of heaps of paperwork in Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4. She reveals that she's used to the administrative work as the head of the Yozakura family. Yet, while sorting the documents, Mutsumi notices an important report is missing.

According to Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4, Kengo was in charge of attaching the paperwork for the report. As such, Mutsumi goes to Kengo's room, taking Taiyo with her. They notice the room is filled with heaps of dresses for disguise.

Taiyo feels the papers must be buried somewhere in the room. However, instead of cooperating, Kengo decides to annoy them and play a game of tag. Slightly furious, Mutsumi uses her ring to activate a barrier surrounding the family to ensure Kengo cannot escape the mansion.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 then shows a light-hearted moment between Kengo and Taiyo, where the former tells the boy not to be so formal with him because he is only a year older than him.

Taiyo goes to Shinzo's rescue and assists him on his mission

While enjoying their supper, Mutsumi and Taiyo realize that Shino is late. Suddenly, the Yozakura Family's hotline rings and they get a call from him. Shinzo frantically explains to Mutsumi that he has used up all his weapons since there were more enemies than anticipated.

According to Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4, the weapon expert Shinzo loses his composure and becomes a "wimp" when he is unarmed. Mutsumi requests Taiyo to rescue Shinzo and showcase the fruits of his mock training.

With the girl navigating the path, Taiyo carefully reaches the location and confronts several enemies. He showcases wonderful skills to negate their threats and save Shinzo. Taiyo hands over a few weapons to him, and he becomes a completely changed person.

With weapons in his hands, Shinzo demonstrates brilliant skills to take down several guards. However, one shooter manages to wound Taiyo's leg. He asks Shinzo to put his gun down, which he does.

Taiyo remembers Mutsumi telling him that Shinzo readily relinquishes his weapons for something he treasures even more. However, if he does that, he cannot protect the things he treasures.

Even in wounded condition, Taiyo flings a fork to Shinzo. The green-haired Yozakura uses it as a weapon to overwhelm the shooter. After accomplishing the mission, Shinzo and Taiyo return home.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 ends with a mysterious person confronting a fallen guard, asking who hired them. When the guard doesn't answer, he ends his life with a hammer. Following that, he checks his phone for his next "schedule." Interestingly, his phone displays Taiyo Asano's picture.
