Kunwar Singh (India)One of the great older hockey players.This great Indian had such skill having the ball under his complete control.He was a giant in the game.That culminated in him winning the Olympic Gold twice in 1948 and 1952.Sadly he died from a discharge from his own gun

Dhyan Chand (India)The father of hockey and in truth probably the greatest player in the history of the sport.He was the best Centre Forward the game has seen that culminated in him winning the Olympic Gold on three occasion in the Indian team.He in truth was a perfect hockey player. Combining skill,power and pace and a predators goal sense.A great player and an equally great man.

Balbir Singh Snr.(India)

A great player from the older times.He won the Olympic Gold Medal on three different occasions with India with his goal scoring being one of the keys in these victories.He was symbolically the first sportsman to be honoured with the Padma Shri Award in 1957

Mohammed Shahid (India)

This amazing forward was renowned for his incredible dribbling skills that allowed him to ghost past defenders like they were lamp posts.He won the ultimate honour with India in 1980 with the Olympic Gold Medal

What a great player that had such courage and sent shivers down the spines of oposition defences with his marauding runs.He won the World Cup and the Asian Games but sadly never completed his trophy cabinet with Olympic Gold.Getting Silver at the 1972 Munich Olympics

I must say this forward was the best player ive ever seen.He had such incredible skill and instincts on a hockey field,He has all the Individual honours including consecutive player of the World Cup in 1990 and 94.Many regard only the immortal Indian Chand as better than him

This great Pivot and Captain for Pakistan was a very refined and consistent performer for his great Nation.This culminated in the key role he played in Pakistan winning the World Cup twice in 1978 and 1982.He was very respected and Won the highest honour in Pakistan the Pride of Performance Award

Sohail Abbas (Pakistan)

This great defender and Penalty Corner Specialit is currently the highest goal scorer in International hockey with 313.He gained recognition for his goal scoring exploits in the 2002 World Cup where he was joint top scorer with 10.He acvhieved team success this year with the Gold Medal at the Asian Games

Tanvir Dar (Pakistan)

One of the greatest right backs in the history of hockey.He was an expert short penalty taker and scored 43 goal from his 80 International Caps.His ultimate glory was the Olympic Gold Medal in 1968

Samiullah Khan (Pakistan)

The aptly named ‘Flying Horse’ because of his electrifying pace down the left wing for Pakistan,His ultimate glory was the Gold Medal in the 1978 Asian Games
