Dante Exum is an Australian basketball player who plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Exum plays as the backup point guard behind the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. He is known for his catch-and-shoot ability and defensive prowess.

Born on July 13, 1995, in Melbourne, Australia, Exum showcased his basketball talents at Lake Ginninderra Secondary College in Canberra. At 6 feet 5 inches, Exum was selected by the Utah Jazz with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. His rookie season was promising as he played all 82 games, starting in half of those.

However, Exum's NBA career faced a significant setback when he suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee while playing for Australian national basketball team in August 2015. Despite returning for the 2016-17 NBA season, he struggled to regain his form due to recurring injuries.

After a short stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Exum found success in Europe, playing for FC Barcelona and Partizan Belgrade. His great two-way performances for Partizan led the Mavs to sign him, where he is a valuable asset off the bench.
