
Jamal Murray is a Canadian point guard who plays for the Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected as the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets. In the 2016-17 season, he played 82 games for the Nuggets, averaging 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game and made the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2017.
Murray attended Grand River Collegiate Institute before transferring to Orangeville Prep in Orangeville, Ontario. After high school, Murray played college basketball at University of Kentucky. The Denver Nuggets point guard was named to the AP All-American Third Team, All-SEC First Team, and SEC All-Freshman Team in 2016 before declaring for the 2016 NBA draft.
