Since then, the veteran shooting guard has played for the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers, and in the 2019/20 season, he was traded to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Dante Exum, San Antonio Spurs’ second round pick from 2022 and Golden State Warriors’ second round pick from 2023 in a large 4-team deal. During the playoffs in 2020, he was the league leader in free throw percentage, and was also the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2021.

Throughout the 2022/23 season, Clarkson played 61 games with the Utah Jazz and averaged 20.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, on 44.4% from the field, including 33.8% from deep. This offseason, he signed a 2 year deal extension through renegotiation and extension with the team.
