Kevin Wesley Love is an American NBA player. Born on September 7, 1988, in Santa Monica, California, United States, he currently plays for the Miami Heat.

Kevin initially attended Lake Oswego high school. He faced many teams in the Reebok ABCP Camp. He received MVP awards on three occasions while playing there. Following his senior year, Kevin joined the University of California in 2006.

In 2007, Kevin played for the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team. Kevin won the Pac-12 Player of the Year honour for his outstanding performance throughout the season. He quit college after a season and declared for the 2008 NBA draft.

NBA Career

Kevin Love joined the NBA after his selection by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2008 NBA draft. Later, his former team traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin led his team to various championships including the 2008 NBA League. He stood with the team for six seasons from 2008 to 2014.

In August 2014, Kevin was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He helped the team to reach the NBA Finals multiple times and this really improved his own performance. On January 30, 2018, he fractured his left hand. Due to this, Kevin was out of the court for six weeks and missed 21 regular season games. He returned on March 19 after the recovery and continued to play with the team.

Kevin had a time period of three years from 2018 to 2021 which was almost ruined by injuries. At that, he was signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. At the start of the season, Kevin just played the first four games and missed almost the complete remaining season with a foot injury. He had surgery for the treatment of his foot on November 2. Kevin was out for almost 50 games and returned to action on February 8, 2019.

Despite, returning to the court, he was unable to give his full potential to the sport due to the surgery. His gameplay was totally limited to a certain time limit. At the start of the 2021-22 season, a calf injury affected his regular games. It caused him to miss the games for three to four weeks.
