Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for a few weeks after picking up a tendon injury in Manchester City's 2-1 victory against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, the club have confirmed on their official website. Speaking in the Cityzens' press conference in the build-up to their Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, Pep Guardiola confirmed that his star striker will be out for the foreseeable future.
"Sergio Aguero will be out for a few games. I don’t know exactly. He has a tendon problem in front - will be a few games out."
Manchester City find themselves 9 points adrift of Liverpool, who are at the summit of the Premier League table, as the reigning champions have a battle on their hands to reduce the deficit between themselves and the league leaders.
