Jared Goff is an American footbal quarterback for the Detroit Lions in the 2024 NFL season. The Los Angeles Rams selected him as the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Born in Novato, California, Goff has been playing in the NFL for eight years and is in his ninth season, as of January 2025. After leading the Lions to their first-ever NFC Championship game in more than three decades in 2023, Jared Goff led Detroit Lions to a 15-2 record by the end of the 2024 NFL regular season.
Goff attended Marin Catholic High School, where he began his football career. Goff went to the University of California, Berkeley where he played collegiate football for three years. He was an outstanding player and set a total of 26 school records during his three years.
