WWE June 2014- Top 5 backstage promos in June

Sometimes, the best promos in the WWE go unheard. Ever since they decided to go full throttle with their social media content, the audience watching only the two hour or three hour Smackdown and Raw might be missing out on something. Some of the Backstage Fallout promos or Backstage Pass promos are immensely entertaining and enhance the gimmick of a given superstar or diva. Just this week, Ambrose had quite a promo where he explained why he was jailed once. That is pretty intense for PG programming coming from somebody whos supposed to be the babyface. That just shows how much of an anti-hero he is.Here are some of the best backstage promos of the past month

#5 Cesaro and Heyman

This is a very entertaining interaction that the interviewer, Heyman and Cesaro are having. At the same time this shows how much arrogance these two can carry around with themselves. This is something that should be shown on screen during a live program. While Heyman is giving a shout out to Renee Young, I bet even she won’t be spared by an onslaught from Heyman.

The promo starts at 00.35.

#4 The Miz

While he is the middleman in the Jericho and Wyatt feud, he is set to gain nothing out of it. But it is great to see that he’s back to being full of himself and a full on critique of the universe that fails to recognize him.

This is something that could have found itself on Raw. But instead of such backstage promos they decide to shows stuff like Stephanie throwing up on Vickie or whatever other ridiculous things they have going. It starts at 0.24

#3 Enzo Amore and Big Cass

They are, in my opinion, the live wire of NXT. Amore’s return definitely brought the elan back in NXT. The crowd welcomed like he belonged there. It was an ovation one would reserve only for a star.

Amore does not, by any margin, look like the protocol WWE superstar but as he says in this promo,” It isn’t the size of a dog in a fight but the fight in the dog” that matters. He’s clearly one very tough dog.

#2 Paige

While she has had enough time proving herself in the ring, she hasn’t had much opportunity to give out some promos. Her performance on Raw when Lee returned was not flattering either. But this one promo right here shows her potential. She seems to be naturally miffed, which is good because it does not seem like she is putting up an act and a bad act at that.

Why can’t WWE have her in backstage segments like this on air, live.

It starts at 00.56.

#1 Dean Ambrose

The fact is that even if this promo goes unseen or unheard, Dean Ambrose still remains interesting with each and every appearance of his since the Shield split. But this promo and his recent backstage promo with Renee Young shows off that he’s eccentric, psychotic and devious.

It starts at 00.56.
