AJ bails after slapping Cody, but then we go backstage! Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens are fighting! Chairs and more are being used! This is chaos! The show ends as security tries to keep them apart.

AJ noted he beat everybody who had Cody's back at WrestleMania and will beat Cody at Backlash. Cody puts AJ Styles over and warns AJ not to put him down to pop himself up. Rhodes says every mistake he endured led him to be a world champion. Cody says commentary can call it a dream match, but he is not looking at AJ as Phenomenal; he is looking at Styles as his "first."

Cody then says that's "too sweet." AJ puts up the "too sweet" only to slap Cody in the face! Wow!

AJ Styles says Cody isn't focused. Rhodes says he is focused and brings up them as Georgia boys. AJ cuts Cody off and says Styles may be older than Rhodes, but he's still in his prime. AJ keeps getting interrupted by the fans.

He says the path was laid out for Cody because everybody wanted the son of the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes. He says WWE welcomed Cody with open arms. The crowd chants "Ole," but AJ keeps talking.

AJ says Cody loved it here until things got rough, and he was mocked for being Stardust. He says Styles made his choice to walk out. AJ says he wasn't welcomed to WWE with open arms and was kept out for years, but he proved himself and did it all by himself, unlike Cody, who had Hall of Famers and legends watching his back so he could finish his story.

Cody is so incredibly over it. His reception might be the biggest of the night. He takes the mic and speaks French, likely asking what they want to talk about. Styles says he doesn't care and points out Cody is in the ring with him. The crowd then interrupts AJ Styles and gets extremely loud.

Corey Graves reveals that matches for the King & Queen of the Ring will begin on RAW Monday and SmackDown next Friday! Corey then reveals tonight is the highest grossing SmackDown event in WWE history.

After that, Cody Rhodes' music hits! The crowd is singing his theme and gives a loud "WHOA" for his entrance.

Next up, AJ Styles' music hits. He comes out with his new theme music and receives a mixed reaction from the audience. He will go face-to-face with Cody Rhodes next!

From there, what might be the last commercial break of the night begins.

Wade Barrett reveals that tomorrow's big announcement is WrestleMania-related. Yup, that'll have to do with the location of 41, probably.

The Countdown to Backlash France show will feature Jackie Redmond, Big E, and CM Punk tomorrow at noon!

The tag team action on tonight's show has been incredibly strong. Austin rakes at Dawkins' eyes and crotches Ford on the ropes. Dawkins hits an O'Connor Roll, but Grayson hits a Flatliner out of nowhere! Theory gets a quick pin, and the champions skate by with a victory.

A-Town Down Under defeats The Street Profits via pinfall.

Theory and Waller climb onto the apron and pose with the titles as The Street Profits look upset in the ring.

After the commercial break concludes, Montez Ford is in control. He hits several big moves, including a massive springboard back elbow. He hits a back suplex, and the crowd is fired up. He then hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Things break down, and all four men start fighting in the ring. Grayson tries to blindside Ford, but Montez moves, and he hits a coast-to-coast style kick on Angelo.

Theory tags in and goes for a rolling move but gets hit with a pounce! Waller is then leveled with The Sky High. Montez tags in, and the Doomsday Blockbuster hits Theory! One, two, th- no! This one isn't over yet.

Grayson hits Ford but gets nailed with a Rock Bottom. Dawkins climbs to the top rope and hits a big Swanton! Before he can go for the pin, Austin pulls Waller out. Ford tags in and hits a huge dive, taking out both members of A-Town Down Under. The Street Profits are in control. Montez throws Waller into the ring and tags in Dawkins. They hit a double-back suplex.

Dawkins hits a combination of kicks for a nearfall. We then go to another commercial break.

Back from break and A-Town Down Under are making their way to the ring. The crowd boo them, but they do sing along with parts of their theme.

A-Town Down Under vs. The Street Profits

This will be Austin Theory and Grayson Waller's first title defense. Waller immediately knocks Montez Ford off the apron with a cheap shot. From there, Austin Theory and Angelo Dawkins start things off. Austin gets the advantage early on and tags in Grayson Waller. Waller then gets nailed with a back elbow and tags in an angry Montez Ford. They hit a double-team move, and Montez is in control.

Next up, The Street Profits come out to a big pop with B-Fab and Bobby Lashley. The Profits then run through the crowd to dance with the fans in France! The crowd loves them.

Their WWE Tag Team Title match is coming up after the break.

Knight says he couldn't hear Santos because the crowd was so loud. Knight says when he stops talking, that's when Santos gets stomped out. He then finishes with his catch phrase and leaves as the crowd cheers him on.

This then leads to a recap of Carlito's revealed heel turn. We then get Carlito backstage and he reveals that he did what he did because Rey was choosing people like Dragon Lee over him. Lee then showed up and attacked Carlito, but staff quickly pulled them apart!

LA Knight takes a microphone post-match and gets a big reaction from the crowd. He says it's another SmackDown, and another dummy has dropped on his head. Knight says if he were cliche, he would say this is his ring. He then says he will make it his ring by entering the King of the Ring. Santos Escobar then grabs a microphone and interrupts to boos.

Santos says LA Knight keeps talking and talking and talking. The crowd chants, "You suck." Santos then reveals that he, too, will be part of the King of the Ring!

Back from break, Knight hits several big chops and strikes. Legado causes a distraction, which allows Angel to take control. He mocks The Megastar only to pay for it when Knight hits a flying clothesline. LA then hits repeated "YEAH" stomps in the corner and a running knee. He then hits the big elbow.

Knight goes for the BFT, but Berto causes a distraction. Angel tries to steal one, only to eat the BFT. This one is over. Knight thwarted Legado tonight.

LA Knight defeats Angel via pinfall

Knight and Angel fight to the floor, and Knight gets more "YEAH" chants. They return to the ring, but The Megastar sends Angel back to the floor and hits a dropkick through the ropes. From there, Knight rolls Angel in and hits several big strikes. He follows it up with a clothesline in the corner and a suplex for one count.

We then go to another break.

Back from break, Legado Del Fantasma is out to the ring. There is an Uncle Howdy or White Rabbit-style teaser while the four pose on the apron.

LA Knight vs. Angel

Knight is extremely over. He hits a shoulder block, but Angel takes control. He says, "YEAH," and Knight fires back with a clothesline and a swinging neckbreaker.

From there, we go to The Street Profits, talking backstage. They talk about putting a whooping down on A-Town Down Under and winning the WWE Tag Team Titles. They want the smoke. Then, LA Knight's music hits, and he gets a massive reaction from the crowd! Knight will go one-on-one against Angel of Legado Del Fantasma after the break.

While Paul Heyman stammers through an answer, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga show up and blindside the duo! They also start fighting outside of the ring, and this one is chaos. WWE officials and referees come rushing out to break things up, but they're having trouble, especially with Owens and Tama Tonga. Security comes rushing out next, and Orton attacks some of them. Owens then dives off the top onto Solo, Tama, and security! Wow!

Paul says he has great respect for Randy and Kevin and that what happened with Roman Reigns was just about keeping the title. He says the rules with Solo and Tama Tonga are much different and suggests they do everyone a favor, including their families, and back out. Orton calls Paul Heyman the biggest piece of trash in this industry.

Kevin says Heyman isn't in a position to give advice when everything around him is falling apart. Orton then asks Paul who the real Tribal Chief is. Paul doesn't know how to respond and says Randy put him in a bad position. Paul says the whole world knows there's only one Tribal Chief.

Paul says he's here with respect, and Owens tells Randy Orton that he can't just RKO Heyman if he comes to the ring. Heyman says he won't do it right away; it'll come out of nowhere. Paul says there will be no RKOs this evening, but Orton begs to differ. Kevin has Paul cut to the chase. Heyman starts to talk and is interrupted by "We Want Roman" chants. Orton and Owens don't seem to approve. Heyman says he wants Roman Reigns, too.

Owens sells being annoyed by Heyman and then asks Orton if he'd like to introduce Paul. Randy says he'd like to introduce Paul to the three most dangerous letters of the alphabet—RKO. Heyman then interrupts without being introduced. Loud "ECW" chants echo as he comes out. He talks about being a Hall of Famer and calls himself WWE's Undisputed Wiseman.

Orton says he'd need to be talked into something like this, but this was easy because the fans are so amazing. The crowd loudly cheers him on. Orton then says it didn't take much talking into him to team up with Kevin against The Bloodline. Kevin says Orotn has some reservations about their guest, and it's revealed to be Paul Heyman.

Next, Kevin Owens' music hits, and he gets a big pop from the fans in France. While he's French Canadian and not from France, the crowd still adores him as if he's in his hometown. Once Owens' music stops playing, you can hear just how loud the crowd is for him. Kevin speaks French to the crowd and gets a pop.

Back from break and we get a shot of France. From there, Randy Orton's music hits! This should be interesting. The first-ever R-KO Show. Orton and Owens have had unusually good chemistry together as allies. It could make a future turn all the more upsetting.

The crowd is singing along with Randy's theme and it makes for a great atmosphere.

Heyman reiterates that Nick Aldis can't subject Owens and Orton to what The Bloodline will do tomorrow. Aldis says if he can pull Roman out of the Draft, why doesn't Paul try to get Randy and Kevin out of their match on the R-KO Show? That is next.

Wow, great segment.

Next, we get a recap of Randy Orton saving Kevin Owens from a beating by The Bloodline last week. We then see Paul Heyman address Nick Aldis. Heyman asks if Nick got his memo. Aldis says the request was denied. Nick reveals Paul tried to get Randy Orton and Kevin Owens pulled from the tag team match tomorrow. He then reveals whatever happens to them isn't on Heyman anymore but on Nick. The Bloodline may be dominant.

Nick Aldis then asks if that's by order of the Tribal Chief. Heyman says, "That's not funny." Nick asks if Heyman is in charge. Paul says there's a difference between being in charge and control. Heyman then reveals he hasn't talked to Roman Reigns since WrestleMania. Nick then acted furious. It is then revealed that Roman Reigns didn't pull himself out of the WWE Draft, and it was Paul who did it. Heyman says he had no choice because he can't subject Roman to the chaos within The Bloodline right now.

As momentum builds, Scarlett gets on the apron to cause a distraction. Bate charges and dives on Rezar, but Kross slams Tyler hard onto the floor. Pete takes Kross out but rushes into the ring and gets hit with a standing Rock Bottom. AOP then hits a powerbomb-neckbreaker combo, and this one is over.

Authors of Pain defeats New Catch Republic via pinfall

The Final Testament builds momentum ahead of their move to RAW.

The Bruiserweight rushes in and levels both members of AOP with big kicks and strikes. He hits a moonsault on Rezar and a slice of bread on Akam in the ring for a nearfall. He goes for a moonsault in the ring but lands on his feet when Akam moves. Tyler Bate tags in and hits the bop and bang, followed by an AIRPLANE SPIN! He spins the massive Akam around for numerous rotations before dropping him. He then tags Dunne in.

Bate hits a standing shooting star press, and Pete hits a kick for a near fall. Rezar comes into double chokeslam NCR, but they manipulate his joints and then send him to the floor with forearms!

Back from break and the crowd is cheering on Tyler Bate who is being beaten down in the ring. Rezar tags in Akam and they hit a stomp-side slam combo. Corey Graves then reveals that a major announcement is coming tomorrow. There is a rumor it has to do with WrestleMania 41.

In the ring, Rezar has Tyler locked in a bearhug. Tyler hits a huge dropkick to counter it, then several big strikes when trying to tag out. He eventually hits a rebound clothesline and finally tags in Pete!

The crowd is very much behind New Catch Republic. Rezar goes back in the ring and Tyler hits a springboard European Uppercut, but Rezar ends up nailing Bate with a BRUTAL Death Valley Driver into the corner!

With Tyler in clear pain, we go to break.

Tyler hits a big running European uppercut and then another. As he goes for a third, Akam turns him inside out with a clothesline and tags Rezar. Rezar powers Tyler around, but The Big Strong Boi attempts a suplex. He couldn't get it, but he tags Pete Dunne in. They double-team both members of AOP, sending them to the floor. Bate then hits a dive from the top onto both men!

Wade Barrett reveals that SmackDown acquired 15 new superstars in the draft. That is actually a staggering shake up. Next up, The Final Testament come out.

AOP vs. New Catch Republic

This starts with Pete Dunne and Akam in the ring. Akam tosses Pete out immediately. This is AOP's last night on SmackDown, as The Final Testament were drafted to the red brand. Pete gets back in the ring and hits several big kicks then an armbar. Tyler tags in and the two club away at Akam into the corner.

Back from break and we get a replay of Cody Rhodes selecting Bianca Belair in the draft, followed by other starts drafted to SmackDown including Jade Cargill, Carmelo Hayes, Blair Davenport, Baron Corbin, DIY, and various others. Commentary notes that the roster changes will take effect beginning Monday.

Next up, New Catch Republic is here, and the fans love them! Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are great, so they're receiving this kind of reaction, which is nice to see. They will be battling The Final Testament's AOP next.

From there, we go to another commercial break.

Next, we got a replay package of Cody Rhodes vs. Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown last week. There was emphasis on Carmelo and how he took the champion to the limit. Then, we see Nick Aldis and Carmelo Hayes talking backstage. Nick praises him, and Hayes says he's declaring himself for the King of the Ring Tournament.

Bobby Lashley then shows up. He shakes hands with Melo and congratulates him on his match last week and being drafted. Lashley says if Melo needs anything, just call him, but Carmello says he's good. He saw what he did last week. Bobby says it's not about shooting your shot but the shots you make. Melo shoots back, when was the last time Lashley shot his shot? Bobby warns Carmelo to be careful about whom he disrespects. Carmelo walks out from there. Very interesting.

Back from break, Kayla Braxton asks Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill about their Women's Tag Team Title match at Backlash. They make it clear they're confident before Bianca talks about Damage CTRL and gives Bayley an attitude while doing it. Bayley walks out without fighting, but the tension is palatable. Bianca apologizes to Jade and Naomi after getting worked up.

Backstage, A-Town Down Under are talking to the camera. They mention this being their first title defense. They then make stereotypical French jokes about cheese and wine, before taking a shot at The Street Profits.

From there, we go to another commercial break.

Asuka gets in, but Naomi takes her out, only for Tiffany to take Naomi out. Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly but eats a Scorpion Kick from Dakota Kai. Bianca then hits the KOD on Dakota Kai, and this one is over!

The Big 3 celebrate together post-match. Bayley and Bianca stay away from each other.

Bayley inches towards a tag, but Tiffany knocks Jade down and then throws Bayley into Naomi. Bayley recovers, though, and hits a back suplex on Tiffany! The crowd is ready for a tag but the only person she can tag is Bianca. There is clear tension between the two and neither seem sure about tagging, but Jade pops up on the apron and gets the tag instead.

Jade rushes in and kicks Dakota then slams around The Kabuki Warriors. She tags in Bianca while hitting a big splash in the corner. Jade then powerbombs Dakota. She and Belair then hit a double team move they've been doing at live events for a nearfall!

Back from the break, and the crowd is STILL chanting for Bayley. She is trying to fight off The Kabuki Warriors, but they double-team her with a series of strikes for a two count.

Tiffany Stratton tags in and clubs away on Bayley. Asuka and Tiffany tag in back and forth, getting along surprisingly well despite very different personalities. Tiffany then hits her handspring back elbow in the corner and her unique version of the Alabama Slam.

Tiffany nearly gets the win, but Naomi breaks the count up.

The Spinebuster was well done, but the crowd won't stop singing and chanting for The Role Model. Tiffany gets a two-count, but Bayley kicks out.

From there, we go to the first commercial break of the night.

Bayley and Bianca Belair are long-time rivals, so the pair being united should be interesting. Naomi and Kairi Sane start things off while the crowd chants for Bayley. Naomi gets the upper hand over Kairi, and the crowd gets behind her as she hits a running dropkick in the corner. Naomi then tags Bianca Belair in, and a loud "EST" chant starts.

Bianca dominates Kairi, eventually hitting a marching suplex and a kip-up. Asuka runs in but is quickly ejected, allowing Kairi to hit a back fist. Bayley then tags herself in, with clear tension between the two. The crowd chants, "We want Bayley," but Tiffany Stratton gets the tag and levels Bayley with a Spinebuster.

The crowd is already really loud, and they love Bayley. While she enters, Wade Barrett and Corey Graves introduce themselves, and the French announce team. This will be an eight-woman tag team match, with Bianca Belair and Bayley on the same side.

Bayley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill vs. Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton

This should make for an exciting clash of personalities.

SmackDown begins with the standard "Then. Now. Forever. Together." Marvel-inspired intro. Corey Graves welcomes us, and we see Cody Rhodes arriving earlier today. We also see AJ Styles' arrival, along with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

Then Bayley's music hits! It gets a big pop from the crowd.
