WWE Fast Lane 2015 : 5 storylines that could sprout from the Pay-Per-View

A portion of the WWE fans will see Fast Lane as an opportunity for Vince McMahon to clean up his mess. However, in reality, it is just another stop before WrestleMania. And not just any other stop, it will be the last major stop before WrestleMania.Being the inaugural edition, there is a lot of pressure on the show apart from the last stop factor. The current card is expected to grow bigger in a matter of time but we already have an idea on the storylines that will sprout out of the pay-per-view.WrestleMania is going to shape up after the conclusion of Fast Lane and here is a look at those storylines that will sprout out from the pay-per-view when it hits FedExForum Arena in Memphis on 22 February.

#5 Cena vs. Rusev 2.0

John Cena and Rusev are all set to face off at Fast Lane. Though some might see it as a one match affair, this feud has all the potential to make a trip to WrestleMania. WWE will be careful while plotting the plan for this match as they need continuity.

The chances of this match ending up in an indecisive way cannot be counted out. Either of the two superstars are unlikely to get a clean win and even if they do, there will be a follow up angle.

The second chapter of the Bulgarian brute – Cenation Leader saga will be one of the storylines from Fast Lane and if the company pulls this off correctly, no one will complain.

#4 A Vipers revenge

Randy Orton’s much awaited return should happen at Fast Lane. There is a lot of pressure on producing the inaugural pay-per-view and pulling off a surprise return like this could ease things up for the booking team.

Orton’s absence hasn’t been worked as a big deal by the fans but his return would surely be a headline maker. The Viper will go straight into a feud with Seth Rollins as things stand now as it as the Architect who took Orton out of action.

An angle between Orton and Rollins is inevitable and the stone should be set rolling at Fast Lane. This could culminate in a great WrestleMania match between the two after which Rollins could run behind the WWE Championship.

#3 Crazy girl back in the picture

The WWE’s divas division has been lacking the craziness of AJ Lee for quite some time. The writers are trying to build up Paige as the new top babyface in the division and her Divas title shot at Fast Lane is a part of the push.

Paige might or might not win the title at the pay-per-view but one thing that is most likely to happen is AJ Lee’s return. AJ was taken out of the TV programming due to injury but WWE needs her desperately during the WrestleMania season.

Even if AJ will not be able to wrestle, she is bound to make a return to the picture. A new storyline featuring the former divas champion will kick start at the show and it might have a surprise or two.

#2 The fall of Bryan

Royal Rumble was responsible for a plethora of negative response from the WWE fans. No one wanted to buy the idea of Reigns headlining WrestleMania while there was a possibility of Bryan sharing the spotlight with Brock Lesnar.

This eventually forced the company to book a match between Bryan and Reigns at Fast Lane and though things look good for Bryan, the match might end with his fall from the top.

Letting Bryan headline WrestleMania would be a suicidal move by the WWE and even though they are keeping the ray of hope alive for the fans. Bryan’s loss and the feud that he falls into next will be a good storyline to follow after Fast Lane.

#1 Game Icon Showdown

Even though the showdown between Triple H and Sting is not hyped as much as it should be, once the moment arrives, the jaws are going to drop to the ground. The confrontation between Sting and Hunter will be a historic moment and above all, it will be the first step towards their WrestleMania match.

The two legendary names are sure to face off at the granddaddy of them all but what we don’t know the motives of Sting yet. Things will be clearer once the Icon starts talking and the place will be Fast Lane.

A proper buildup to the WrestleMania match with well-defined motives is what awaits the fans after Fast Lane and for that, first the confrontation needs to materialize.
