WWE Top 5 Rumours of the Week and Analysis: November 9, 2014

WWE made another big stride towards Survivor Series this week when they bought out a mouthwatering edition of Monday Night Raw and a solid SmackDown. There weren’t big developments regarding the pay-per-view, but the creative did build some great action on top of the foundation that they laid last week. While the in ring product was mighty impressive, the rumor mill wasn’t taking a rest as well. Some wild and sensible rumors came out last week about Survivor Series, WrestleMania and some developments that are going to happen. So without further delay, here is a look at the top five rumors of this week and their potential impact.

#5 Ryback to join Team John Cena

WWE has booked a match between Ryback and John Cena as next weeks main event for Monday Night Raw and though it might hint at Ryback joining team authority, the current plan is to let the complete opposite happen.

Rybacks current babyface run has been getting a lot of momentum and the creative team apparently thinks that he should remain there rather than making the jump.

So Ryback might end up as the third member of Team Cena if the rumor is right and that would be a big headline maker from Raw.

This will be a great boost for Rybacks career and hopefully hell go on to have a good run after Survivor Series as well.

#4 Orton to skip Survivor Series

The long awaited face turn from Orton finally came on Raw when the Viper was laid out by the Authority. He will be out for filming the sequel of Steve Austin’s Condemned and there is some bad news for the fans who are expecting him to join Team Cena at Survivor Series.

Orton will apparently be busy filming during Survivor Series which means that the company would have to pull off the show without another big name.

It’s clearly puzzling why Vince McMahon allows such things during a crucial point of the year and without names like Orton, Lesnar and Reigns, Vince is sure to sweat a lot.

As far as Orton’s return is concerned, TLC might prove to be the stage or he could wait till Royal Rumble to make his big return.

#3 Rey Mysterio closer than ever in leaving WWE

The friction between Rey Mysterio and WWE looks to be hitting an all-time high after Rey refused to be in action even after the company called him up.

One of the main reasons why Rey doesn’t like working with the WWE is the amount of money. Names like Sin Cara and Alberto Del Rio is apparently making a lot more with independent bookings than Rey makes in the WWE.

Another factor is the accused racial discrimination that exist within the WWE, which was also the reason for Del Rio’s exit from the company.

Rey recently had a meeting with Vince McMahon but things still hasn’t been solved meaning that Rey will be heading back to Mexico soon.

#2 Miz and Mizdow might get gold

The team of Miz and Mizdow is apparently the hottest commodity that the company has in their tag team division. They are more over than the lights of Dust Brothers and Usos and WWE is going to take the duo to the next level.

There are plans being made in the backstage for a four team tag title match at Survivor Series with the Usos, Dust Brothers, Los Matadores and Miz and Mizdow fighting it out.

The Hollywood guy and his stunt double is also the favorite to come out on top as well since WWE would benefit from having a popular team as Champions.

Using the pair in the tag team division will be a great decision and would also give the company the depth they need.

#1 Power Struggle angle and a Triple H Rock showdown for WrestleMania

The segment that went down between Triple H and Rock was not just a random thing and could lead to a match between the two at WrestleMania while Vince McMahon will be on Rock’s corner.

Vince came down last week on Raw to announce that the authority will lose their power if they lose at Survivor Series and that was actually the initial stage of a power struggle between McMahon and Hunter.

This power struggle would run all the way to WrestleMania and end in a showdown between Hunter and Rock with the Company’s ownership on the line.

Having two of the biggest names of Attitude Era headline WrestleMania would be a great idea and hopefully WWE would go ahead with the angle rather than screwing it up.
