WWE live event results are in from Hampton, Virginia for the 4th of September 2015. Below are the results from the house show:
- The New Day def. The Lucha Dragons, after Big E hit the Big Ending.
- Fandango def. Adam Rose with a spinning heel kick.
- Cesaro def.The Miz with the Cesaro Swing and a Sharpshooter. The crowd was into the whole match and were behind Cesaro as usual.
- Dolph Ziggler def. Rusev with a Zig Zag and Lana and Summer got into it on the outside. The match saw the usual Summer distraction and Lana intervention, but the match was another awesome encounter between Ziggler and Rusev.
- Charlotte and Becky Lynch def. Tamina Snuka and Sasha Banks when Charlotte hit a DDT on Tamina.
- Sheamus def. Jack Swagger with the Brogue Kick.
- John Cena def. Kevin Owens in a Street Fight, with an AA through a table. The match was a very entertaining encounter which is no surprise, as both Cena and Owens have torn the house down every time they have faced each other. The show, on the whole, was a very good one with the Cena injury being a concern for the WWE top brass.
Live fan reports suggest that John Cena may have been injured during a match with Kevin Owens at last night’s WWE house show in Hampton, Virginia. Half-way through the referee threw up the dreaded X sign and trainers checked him over. He did, however, finish the match.
It’s possible he hurt his nose again though others have suggested it was a neck issue. The fact he carried on wrestling suggests it wasn’t super serious, but we should know more in the coming days. It’s also entirely possible that it was just a work. It happened due to a botched infrared sunset flip that ended in Cena landing on his head. Hope it doesn’t hamper the rematch between Cena and Rollins at NOC. Below is the video posted by a fan from the live event:
