Mikal Bridges, who is also known as "The Warden", is a shooting guard/small forward for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He went to Great Valley High School and played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats. He helped the Wildcats win two NCAA championships in 2016 and 2018, averaging 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, as per the Wildcats' official website.
Bridges was drafted 10th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft. However, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns in a deal that involved Zhaire Smith soon afterwards. He helped the Suns reach the NBA Finals in 2021 and earned a spot on the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2022. Bridges was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in February 2023. On July 6, 2024, he was traded to the New York Knicks.
