Mikal Bridges also known as “the Warden '' is a shooting guard and small forward for New York Knicks in the NBA. Born on August 30, 1996, Bridges has been a part of the Villanova Wildcats, winning the NCAA championships in 2016 and 2018. His exceptional performances in college led him to be drafted 10th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he was soon traded to the Phoenix Suns in a deal that involved Zhaire Smith.

Bridges helped the Suns advance to the playoffs for the first time in a decade, including reaching the NBA Finals in 2021. Unfortunately for him, the team lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games. In the 2021-22 season, Bridges continued to solidify his reputation with an average of 14.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. His defensive skills were appreciated by the coaches and the fans. His exceptional skills also earned him a spot on the All-Defensive First Team, and he ranked second for the Defensive Player of the Year award. In February 2023, Bridges was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he played one and a half seasons. Eventually, in July 2024, Mikal Bridges again was traded to the New York Knicks from Brooklyn, along with Keita Bates-Diop, Juan Vaulet, and a 2026 second-round pick. In exchange, the Nets received Bojan Bogdanovic, Shake Milton, and Mamadi Diakite, along with a serious collection of future draft picks: unprotected first-round picks in 2025, 2027, 2029, and 2031, a 2025 first-round pick from the Bucks (Top-4 protected), and the right to swap picks in 2028. They also picked up a 2025 second-round pick. This massive move by the Knicks, puts a lot of expectations on Bridges.
