The Philadelphia Eagles won their first-ever Super Bowl championship in 2018 and many NBA players reacted to it.

The Philadelphia Eagles were established in 1933 and have won four league championships since then. However, their sole Super Bowl victory came in 2018 as they defeated the New England Patriots.

Nick Foles led his team to a huge victory in front of more than 67,000 people at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was named the Super Bowl MVP.

Many NBA players watch the NFL and the Super Bowl is very special to them. A lot of players have their favorite teams and judging by their reactions after the Eagles' win in 2018, many of them are fans of Philadelphia's NFL team.

NBA players love football and watching the Super Bowl is a must. Considering how exciting Super Bowl LII was, it's not surprising that it received reactions from so many basketball superstars.

Joel Embiid, who plays basketball for Philadelphia's NBA team, is well known for attending Philadelphia Eagles games. The 76ers center congratulated the Eagles on their first-ever Super Bowl victory.

LeBron James, another big football fan, also congratulated the Eagles. James won the first-ever NBA championship for the Cleveland Cavaliers a year and a half before the Eagles' win, so he definitely knows the feeling.

The basketball superstar also used the #FreeMeek hashtag, expressing support for Meek Mill, a Philadelphia-based rapper who was imprisoned at the time. Lonzo Ball also used the hashtag.

Kobe Bryant, who was born in Philadelphia, was also very happy to watch the Eagles win the championship.

Several other NBA stars congratulated the Philadelphia Eagles on their first championship, including Kyle Lowry and Dwight Howard.

The Eagles will have a chance to win their second Super Bowl on Feb. 12, 2023, when they play against the Kansas City Chiefs.


Super Bowl LII was very exciting

The Eagles opened the match by taking the lead thanks to a field goal by Jake Elliott. The Patriots tied the game shortly after and the teams went back-and-forth at each other.

Shortly after the start of the fourth quarter, the Philadelphia Eagles took a six-point lead, but the Patriots came back with less than 10 minutes left in the game. By the end, however, the Eagles scored a touchdown and a field goal, winning the game 41-33.

This victory was special for the Eagles as it was their first-ever Super Bowl championship. The team won three titles before the AFL-NFL merger, with the last one taking place in 1960.
