Wanindu Hasaranga: The foreign players have been doing a good job. We have good bench strength as well. Next we are going to our home (Kandy), there we will get good support from the fans.

Kusal Mendis: We lost a couple of early wickets, that's why we could not score big and ended up with a low score. Hopefully next match we will come back stronger.

Carlos Brathwaite, Player of the Match: Yes, I am very happy with this performance. The pitch was good for seam bowling, so I just kept it simple, to be honest. The conditions worked in our favour. Yes, almost got a five-wicket haul today, but it is not easy to take catches under the lights. Absolutely enjoying myself here in the Lanka Premier League!

A convincing win for Kandy. The target was too low and they did not muck around. Fletcher and Nissanka set the platform with the West Indian taking it to Nuwan Pradeep and Nissanka got into Wahab Riaz in one over. The Gladiators came back with wickets of the openers but Kamindu Mendis stood firm.

The left-hander held the innings together and put the bad ball away. The Gladiators did not have the depth in their bowling to defend 121.

Mendis fell in trying to go for the big hit which would've got his side closer, but Hasaranga came out and smoked two boundaries to win with 30 balls to spare.

Carlos Brathwaite who shone with the ball with 4/14 should get the Man of the Match award. Stay tuned for the presentation.
