Brisbane Heat 162/3 after 19.1 overs, win the match by 7 wickets with 5 balls remaining.

Sam Heazlett has played one of the most important knocks for Brisbane Heat. Chasing 159, after 10 overs, Brisbane Heat were struggling at 56/2. It felt like Sydney Thunders would win this match but Heazlett had other ideas. He started punishing Sydney Thunder bowlers who went all of a sudden got astray after the half-way mark in the Brisbane Heat chase. Heazlett hit six boundaries and three fours in his unbeaten knock of 74 from 49 balls to take his team over the rope. One should not forget the contribution of Jimmy Pierson as he made 43 from 24 balls and gave Heazlett support from the other end. Just one wicket for Brendan Doggett and Daniel Sams.

Earlier in the evening, Sydney Thunders fetched 24 runs from their last two overs to take the total to 158. All-rounder Ben Cutting did the big-hitting for his side smashing four sixes and a boundary in his cameo of 34 from 18 balls. Thunder's skipper Callum Ferguson played a decent knock of 34, but there was no other significant contribution from any other batsman. Regular wickets were the feature of Sydney Thunder's inning. Brisbane Heat bowlers were impressive. Mark Steketee bowled a fine spell of 2/22. Spinner Mitchell Swepson bowled another fine spell of 2/28. There was one wicket each for Ben Laughlin, Marnus Labuschange, and X-factor substitute Morne Morkel.

Brisbane Heat will now face Perth Scorchers in Challenger for a spot in the final. That match is scheduled for February 4.
19.1 Brendan Doggett to Sam Heazlett, FOUR! THAT'S IT, ALL OVER! Brisbane Heat are meeting Perth Scorchers in the Challengers! Slower delivery, it was short on the middle and leg as he swivels to pull that one away to the deep backward square leg for a boundary and finishes things off in style. Sam Heazlett has been the man that seals the game for them!
Doggett to bowl the last over of the match. Heazlett is on strike. Will he finish off in style?
And a dot on the last ball takes the match into the last over but is merely academic now.
Over: 19 | Summary: 4 1 0 0 6 0 Bowler: Adam Milne Score: 156/2
18.6 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson, OH! Slower delivery, kept low as well, it was short on the outside off. Peirson swivels to whack that one away to the on-side but misses, through to the keeper
Jimmy Pierson is no mood of a thriller. Just 1 needed now.
18.5 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson, SIX! BANG! That's way too many full tosses from Thunder. They've got only themselves to blame here. This is poor bowling, full toss on the middle and leg. Peirson whacks that one over the deep backward square leg region and that falls right on the ropes and Umpire signals that a maximum!

Two dots from Milne. He is fighting hard for his side. 7 needed from 8 balls. A wicket here could make the match interesting!!!!
18.4 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson, another short delivery, slower one again, wide outside off. Peirson moves across the stump to upper cut that one but misses once again
18.3 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson, excellent change of pace, short delivery into Peirson which climbed on to him who decides to use the pace of the ball to run it down but gets beaten in the end
18.2 Adam Milne to Sam Heazlett, DROPPED! You just cannot do that, it's a crime. Tanveer Sangha puts down the all important catch. Short delivery into Heazlett on the middle and leg as he swivels to pull that one away but doesn't time all that well, went straight down to Sangha to fine leg who comes forward and makes a meal of it, they run a single in the end
Just 8 needed now!
18.1 Adam Milne to Sam Heazlett, FOUR! Slower delivery, short on the middle and leg. Heazlett is in that kind of a form tonight as he swivels and pulls this one away towards deep backward square leg and reaches the fence in the end for a boundary
Milne to bowl his last over.
Nine runs off the over. Heat need just 12 from the last 12 balls of the match. They can win this match in singles now. A stunning turnaround for Heat in this chase.
Over: 18 | Summary: 0 1 4 0 2 2 Bowler: Daniel Sams Score: 145/2
17.6 Daniel Sams to Jimmy Peirson, slower one, full on the off stump. Peirson once again making use the field setup as he taps that one gently towards vacant on-side in the inner ring and they come back for a brace
17.5 Daniel Sams to Jimmy Peirson, slower delivery, touch full on the off stump. Peirson moves across to work this one away gently towards backward square leg and they come back for a brace
