AEW All Out: Predictions and preview for each match

It's showtime, folks!
It's showtime, folks!

On August 31st, AEW will air their biggest show of the year. Intriguingly, All In was a year ago. What started as an independent show morphed into a full-fledged major wrestling company. With the aid of Tony Khan, AEW has started a revolution in wrestling and are insisting that this is a paradigm shift.

All Out sold out in 30 minutes and will take place at the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago. The stadium has a seating of about 11,000. It's quite likely that the fans in attendance are going to make it a memorable night.

There are still issues going into this show. Jon Moxley pulled out at the last minute due to an elbow injury which will require surgery. There is also doubt over the Lucha Bros vs The Young Bucks match as Ray Fenix might have injured his leg, wrestling for an independent promotion.

Despite these setbacks, All Out is still set to be one of the biggest wrestling shows of the year, outside of WWE. The card is stacked and has a lot going for it. While Fyter Fest And Fight for the Fallen were filler shows, this one promises to have some surprises in store for us.

With 9 confirmed matches on the card (including the pre-show), AEW All Out is going to try to hit this out of the ballpark. Here are the predictions for all the matches at All Out.

#10 Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) vs. Angelico and Jack Evans

Get the party started!
Get the party started!

This match will be on the pre-show aka "The Buy-In". Private Party has been heavily featured on Being The Elite and they were given a chance to showcase their skills at Fyter Fest. Even though they lost that match to Best Friends, they got over and the crowd was behind them.

Considering the buzz around them and they are scheduled to take on The Young Bucks on the TNT show in Boston on October 9th, they're most likely going to get the win.

Prediction: Private Party

#9 21-woman Casino Battle Royale

Place your bets!
Place your bets!

Much like Double or Nothing, the "Buy-In" will include a Casino Battle Royale. The winner will receive a match for the inaugural AEW Women's World Championship.

Interestingly enough, only 10 entrants have been revealed by AEW. The women confirmed so far are Brandi Rhodes, Nyla Rose, Jazz, Ivelisse, Teal Piper, Big Swole, Sadie Gibbs, Allie, Yuka Sakazaki and Britt Baker. This leaves about 11 entrants that are yet to be announced. Fans might be in for some surprises

When it comes to who will win this match, my money is on Britt Baker. She did sustain a concussion at Fight for the Fallen but was cleared by AEW’s head physician Dr. Michael Sampson. Despite that, she is one of the more featured female AEW Wrestlers and for good reason. She is a practicing dentist, has fantastic in-ring ability, and is over with the audience.

Prediction: Britt Baker

#8 Riho vs Hikaru Shida

Diamond in the rough?
Diamond in the rough?

With all the promotion that has been happening with All Out, this match has gone under the radar. Of the two, Riho has had the most wins coming into this match. She did win her debut match when she teamed with Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami at Double or Nothing. She also won a triple threat match at Fyter Fest and defeated Yuka Sakazaki and Nyla Rose.

When it comes to the Japanese female wrestlers in AEW, they have not disappointed. They have always risen to the occasion, when given the opportunity. Kenny Omega is said to be booking the women's matches and his influence can be strongly felt, especially with the Japanese female wrestlers.

While Riho is quite impressive, Hikaru Shida might get the win here. Considering it's her first singles match in AEW, I think she will go over this time around.

Prediction: Hikaru Shida

#7 The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) vs Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta)

The oddest of couples
The oddest of couples

Despite both teams having the oddest set of characters, the storyline has been quite intriguing. The Dark Order attacked Best Friends at Double or Nothing when they debute. They sent a warning to Best Friends at Fyter Fest. They won their first official AEW match at Fight for the Fallen after defeating Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus and Angelico & Jack Evans.

youtube-cover

The Best Friends cut a promo on The Dark Order recently by calling them "spooky perverts" and saying they will win their match at All Out. The winner of the match gets a first-round bye in the AEW tag team tournament.

youtube-cover

The edge goes to The Dark Order in this match. The Best Friends are entertaining, but AEW needs to establish a heel tag team and it looks like The Dark Order should get the win.

Prediction: The Dark Order

#6 Darby Allin vs Joey Janela vs Jimmy Havoc

Should be entertaining!
Should be entertaining!

The trio lost their match at Fight for the Fallen against MJF, Sammy Guevera and Shawn Spears. They proceeded to brawl as each blamed the other for the loss. It should be mentioned that AEW has tried to give meaning to each match with some semblance of a storyline. And the simplistic nature of this match is intriguing.

youtube-cover

To keep score, all 3 of these wrestlers have yet to secure a win in AEW. Joey Janela lost his singles match to Jon Moxley at Fyter Fest. Darby Allin fought to a time-limit draw against Cody Rhodes at the same PPV. Jimmy Havoc is also yet to register a win to his name.

Considering that wins and losses do matter in AEW, it gives the match credibility rather than being a filler match at a PPV. If anyone could get a win, it's Joey Janela. His unsanctioned match with Jon Moxley was the highlight of Fyter Fest and he may get the win in this match.

Prediction: Joey Janela

#5 Cody vs Shawn Spears (with Tully Blanchard)

There will be blood!
There will be blood!

Cody Rhodes' matches in AEW have been fantastic so far. His match with Dustin Rhodes was epic and the worthy of the acclaim it got. His match at Fyter Fest against Darby Allin was a surprise, especially with the match ending in a draw. And the match with The Young Bucks was excellent as well.

The long drawn out storyline with Shawn Spears had a simple beginning but has morphed into an intriguing story of a former best friend who believes that Cody has used people on his way to the top. Shawn Spears has even brought in Dusty Rhodes' former foe, Tully Blanchard as his manager.

The match has multiple layers of story and is probably one of the most intriguing storylines going into All Out. Who will be in Cody's corner? Considering that Tully Blanchard was once part of The Four Horsemen, don't be surprised if a former WCW wrestler shows up.

For those who are keeping count, Cody Rhodes' win-loss record stands at 1-1-1. With the way the story has been told so far, a lot of blood and guts will be spilled but Cody should get the win here.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes

#4 Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt vs SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Skorpio Sky)

AEW All Out
AEW All Out

This match was recently announced on Being The Elite and it’s unclear what was the basis of this match. Presumably, all the men involved have an expanding fan base. SCU come across as a comedy act but are extremely capable in the ring.

Based on the last Pay Per View, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt are over with the audience. In terms of numbers, Jungle and Luchasaurus have yet to win a match in AEW. Based on that and their popularity, I can seem them getting the win.

Prediction: Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt

#3 Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. and Ray Fenix) vs The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)

The Sky Above, The Ring Below
The Sky Above, The Ring Below

These teams tore the house down at Double or Nothing. Some people say that it was the best match of the night, only bested by Cody vs Dustin Rhodes. By making this a ladder match for the AAA World Tag Team Championship, it should make things that more interesting.

The match poster reads "Escalera De La Muerte" which translates to "Death Ladder." With that in mind, these teams are looking to top their performance at Double Or Nothing and that should excite the audience who will be lucky enough to witness it in Chicago.

youtube-cover

Despite the reports that Fenix could be injured, AEW has yet to announce whether there is a change to this match. Keeping that aside, The Young Bucks have yet to lose a match in AEW and that could be indicative of the result. The Lucha Bros should retain the belts and get the win.

Prediction: The Lucha Brothers

#2 PAC vs Kenny Omega

Not a bad replacement!
Not a bad replacement!

People who bought tickets for this event were lining up to see Jon Moxley take on Kenny Omega. It was months of preparation and Moxley's injury changed the whole match that fans were waiting for. Despite that, getting PAC to replace Moxley is actually for the better.

Also Read: PAC Replacing Jon Moxley at All Out is a good thing

This match was hard to predict before Moxley pulled out, as both he and Omega are over with wrestling fans. It was a dream match worthy of All Out but the match can now be saved for AEW on TNT or even for the next big PPV.

PAC vs Omega is not a bad replacement. It's a dream match in its own right and both men are going to bring their a-game with them. PAC might still return to Dragon Gate and thus, it's safe to say that Kenny Omega will go over in this match.

Prediction: Kenny Omega

#1 Hangman Page vs Chris Jericho

The big match that everyone has been waiting for: Hangman Page vs Chris Jericho
The big match that everyone has been waiting for: Hangman Page vs Chris Jericho

This match is for the inaugural AEW World Championship. Hangman Page won the Casino Battle Royal and Chris Jericho beat Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing. This story has been well told over the last couple of months and should be a good closer to the show.

youtube-cover

Chris Jericho has been cocksure and has done a good job coming off as the arrogant heel. Hangman Page is the plucky upstart who dares to go the distance with a legend like Chris Jericho. The story has been well told over the last couple of months and should be a great match.

youtube-cover

Hangman Page is the future of AEW. There is no doubt about it. But is he ready to be the face of the company? With AEW on TNT starting in October, AEW might go in a different direction. With so much time between All Out and the first TNT show, it might be better to crown an established star to carry the company and add more to the story

Prediction: Chris Jericho
