Gary Harris is an American shooting guard who plays for the Orlando Magic. Selected in the 2014 NBA Draft with the 19th overall pick by the Chicago Bulls, Harris was later traded to the Denver Nuggets on draft night.

During his time with the Nuggets, Harris transitioned into a starter role in his second season. He consistently showcased his brilliant shooting ability and defensive skills as a guard. He proved to be a prototype shooting guard, proficient in shooting the ball efficiently while also controlling the offensive tempo for the Nuggets.

Playing alongside Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray, Harris emerged as the third-leading scorer for the Denver Nuggets from 2016 to 2021, contributing significantly to the team's success. He was a key part of two impressive Nuggets’ playoff runs in 2019 and 2020. In 2020 particularly, the Nuggets reached the Western Conference Finals in 2020, where Harris played a crucial role.

However, on March 25, 2021, Gary Harris, along with R. J. Hampton, a future first-round pick, was traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Aaron Gordon and Gary Clark.

This trade was crucial for the Nuggets, as Gordon eventually played a key role in their championship run in 2023. In the 2023/2024 NBA season, Gary Harris embraced a leadership role with the Orlando Magic, and shot career-high from 3-point range (43.1%).
