OG Anunoby

OG Anunoby is a British basketball player who is the starting small forward for the New York Knicks. Hailing from the heart of Harlesden, London, Anunoby is one of the best two-way role players in the league.

At the age of four, Anunoby's family left London and relocated to Jefferson City, Missouri, USA. It was here that he began his basketball journey at Jefferson City High School, earning the distinction of a three-star athlete.

Anunoby played college ball at Indiana University, where his two-way talent was first displayed. He played on the collegiate stage from 2015 to 2017, as his skills did not go unnoticed. On June 22, 2017, he was picked 23rd overall by the Toronto Raptors.

In his first two NBA seasons, Anunoby was mostly used as an impact player off the bench. Averaging 20.1 minutes per game, Anunoby displayed a versatility that extended beyond mere statistics. The 2018-19 season saw the Raptors clinch the iconic NBA title under the leadership of Kawhi Leonard. With this title, OG Anunoby became the first-ever British player to win an NBA championship, albeit missing most of the playoffs due to an emergency appendectomy.

Since the Raptors' championship victory in 2019, OG Anunoby has emerged as a key player for the Raptors franchise. In the 2022/23 season, Anunoby averaged 16.8 points and led the league in steals (1.9). In December 2023, Anunoby was traded to the New York Knicks.
