IRE won by 5 wickets
Player of the match: Josh Little
Last week, Ireland were down and out after getting whitewashed by New Zealand in the ODI's and T20's. They were on a forgettable losing streak, but now, it looks like the tables have turned, as they swept Afghanistan aside in the first two matches. Not long to go for the third encounter as these two teams will battle it out tomorrow once again. We will find out what we have in store tomorrow, but for now, this is Pragadeesh and Pradeep saying goodbye and goodnight
Andrew Balbirine: To lose the toss was good and to keep a side like Afghanistan under 130 was incredible. Bowling in the powerplay is a tough thing to do and the bowlers did an outstanding job. Delany gets better and better and I am happy about it. We were pretty good on the field lately and we want to go from strength to strength. I have great support from the players and we want everyone in form and also help the players who are out of form. We want to gel well as a team and that's important. We will swim for a bit now and think about what's ahead of us tomorrow. Surely we have momentum in the series and we can't afford to slip
Mohammad Nabi: We didn't read the pitch properly. At the start it was seaming and it was hard for the batters to bat. Maybe we were 20-30 runs short in the end. We struggled to build good partnerships. The pitch was seaming a lot and that's why we started with a seam in the powerplay. Yeah, we will try our best and work on the mistakes we did in the batting and comeback strongly tomorrow
Josh Little has been adjudged the Player of the Match!

Josh Little:
Go out there and keep my rhythm. Iā€™m sort of go and keep this simple as possible and hopefully swing a couple back along the way. Yeah there's something I was pretty successful at the World Cup and at UAE as well last year so spoke with Scotty there today and I'm just gonna try and go back to always work to do what's worked for me in the past. Always I think if you can just say you know if you get through it's in the power play if 70% chance of winning so and wickets in the power play is always key so yeah we could do that today.
Ireland beat Afghanistan by 5 wickets
Andrew Balbirine 46(36) | Shahidi 36(42)
Mark Adair 2-12(3) | Mohammad Nabi 2-`5(2)

Not scoring enough runs on the board cost Afghanistan in the end. They got the start they wanted as Paul Stirling was removed by Naveen Ul-Haq in the third over but Balbirine and Tucker made sure there weren't any further slip-ups as they stitched together a 65-run partnership for the third wicket.

Balbirine was the aggressor and once again, he made a valuable contribution of 46 runs from 36 balls. Mohammed Nabi removed Tucker and Tector in the same over but Ireland were in firm control of the match from the start, and eventually, Dockrell kept his calm and helped the team to cross the line with minimum fuss
Dockrell seals it in style and Ireland go 2-0 up in the series. Farooqi was looking for the yorker but ended up as a juicy full toss and Dockrell just times this over long-on

18.6 Fazalhaq Farooqi to George Dockrell, SIX! IT'S ALL OVER! Dockrell gets Ireland over the line as they go 2-0 up in the series now! Full toss, Dockrell chips it but that goes all the way over long-on for a maximum and that's the end of the game as Afghanistan need to regroup and come back a better side in the third T20I.
18.5 Fazalhaq Farooqi to George Dockrell, completely outfoxes Dockrell there, takes all the pace of it, Dockrell waits for it to get some bat and misses.
18.4 Fazalhaq Farooqi to Gareth Delany, searing yorker, tails into Delany, right up in the blockhole, Delany backs away and carves it to deep covers for another run.
18.3 Fazalhaq Farooqi to George Dockrell, short into Dockrell, he's pulled that one powerfully but straight to deep mid-wicket on the bounce for another single.
18.2 Fazalhaq Farooqi to Gareth Delany, short on the outside off, Delany stood tall to hammer it towards cow corner, the long-on gets around as they get only a single.
This is the third injury delay in this innings. The physio is out in the middle to check Farooqi as he goes down now
18.1 Fazalhaq Farooqi to George Dockrell, OH! Length delivery from around the wicket, Dockrell absolutely thumped it straight back to Farooqi, he's hurt himself in the process of stopping it, bursts through the hands, down the ground for a single.
The batters are trying to milk easy singles on the on-side, so Nabi could bring in the extra fielder and make things difficult

17.6 Naveen-ul-Haq to Gareth Delany, OH! Short on the outside off, Delany was looking to slap that one away but toe ends it to extra-cover fielder for another dot.
17.5 Naveen-ul-Haq to George Dockrell, change of pace, slants the back of a length into Dockrell, tucks it to deep square-leg for just a single.
17.4 Naveen-ul-Haq to Gareth Delany, back of a length, tails into Delany on the off-stump, on the backfoot he taps it to covers for a quick single.
17.3 Naveen-ul-Haq to George Dockrell, short on the outside off, Dockrell makes roo much room and toe ends it down to mid-off, there was a wayward throw and wide of the keeper as well as they pick up a single.
