5 things you should know about Braun Strowman's rumored upcoming push

Braun Strowman could receive a big push soon

Braun Strowman is reportedly in line for a massive push. Raw’s Executive Director Paul Heyman is apparently a huge fan of his, and it’s one of the reasons why he could be receiving a top-tier treatment from him soon.

Since leaving from The Wyatt Family, Strowman quickly became one of the most recognizable Superstars in WWE. Despite this, however, has has yet to win the Universal Championship, and it has hurt him in lot of ways. He seems to be ready for a title reign, but WWE management apparently don’t think the same. But, with Paul Heyman getting creative control on Raw, things could be changing for the Monster Among Men.

Here are 5 things you should know before he receives that much rumored push.

5. He was rumored to be pushed in the past as well

Strowman was reportedly favored by many people backstage in WWE, and for obvious reasons. He has a giant body, which fits for the role he plays, and it is apparent why the fans like him. Strowman’s in-ring action mostly contain doing the same thing over and over again (destroying his opponents in a certain way) but lately, WWE and Strowman are trying some variations. When he blasted Raw’s set a few weeks ago, fans thought it might be the beginning of a push for Strowman. But, you should know that these rumors are nothing new.

Strowman was originally scheduled to win the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble and defend it against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35. That didn’t happen. Instead, WWE went ahead with another plan and that was to have Lesnar as a champion. Whenever WWE has tried pushing Strowman, they eventually found a reason not to do so. There's precedent that this may happen once again - although the odds are pretty much in favor of him.

4. He is reportedly working injured

Strowman needs to recover completely

In case you didn’t know, Strowman is dealing with some sort of knee/leg injury from a long time ago. However, he is still working despite the pain. It was also one of the reasons why Strowman has been involved in a lot of tag-team matches recently, so that he wouldn’t injure himself more. But, things don’t always work out that way.

Paul Heyman wants to push the Monster Among Men, and if he isn’t completely fit, it could cause a delay in him getting a push. Strowman has to work for himself and no other wrestler could perform for him. He has to fight in the ring and do what the creative team plans for him. So it’s possible that WWE would first let him recover completely and then start pushing him.

3. A monster push means a title reign but Brock Lesnar is the champion

Is it going to happen again?
Is it going to happen again?

Braun Strowman doesn't fit in WWE's mid-card scene because he deserves to be in the big picture. The fans love him and they want to see him having a Universal Championship reign. But if we look at the records then Brock Lesnar is currently holding the belt and he has already beaten Strowman on multiple occasions and each time, it hurt him badly.

Although WWE tries covering things up by giving Strowman some victories, some things don’t make up completely. If Paul Heyman really wants Strowman to look like a monster and destroy everybody whoever comes in his path, then he needs to win a title. But as long as Lesnar is the champion, Heyman may not pull the strings because another loss could seriously destroy Strowman’s ‘monster’ image in WWE, which doesn’t sound good. However, it's possible that Seth Rollins will regain his title at SummerSlam but who knows... Lesnar has already surprised us before.

2. WWE has never had a proper plan for him

WWE has made many mistakes with Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman has turned into a face and heel so many times that it has created some confusion among the WWE Universe. He has teamed up with heel wrestlers the likes of Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre, only to feud with them later.

The Monster Among Men has already received multiple character changes in such a short time that it seems like WWE isn’t sure what to do with him. They had him chase for the Universal Championship, but it didn’t lead to anything. Not only did he ended up getting beaten by Brock Lesnar, other Superstars such as Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns have also gotten victories over him.

But with Paul Heyman being the in-charge of Raw, fans are assuming that he knows what to do with this giant. Will he chase the Universal Title again or stay in the mid-card for a few more months? That's a question only WWE could answer, which they hopefully will soon.

1. Paul Heyman has already started pushing Braun Strowman

Heyman has worked with many WWE Superstars in the past. He manages (well, advocates for) Brock Lesnar and we know exactly how valuable The Beast is to WWE. Part of the reason the fans (and Vince McMahon) like Lesnar is for his destructive nature and it is one of the reasons why Paul Heyman is eager to push Strowman. He also has a similar physique to Lesnar's, which helps qualify him to be the next 'big thing'.

In the past few weeks, we saw ‘The Paul Heyman effect’ on Raw, as Strowman broke the show’s set and then gained a huge victory at Extreme Rules. If everything goes according to plan, it wouldn’t be shocking if Strowman quickly became one of the most destructive men on the WWE roster. Heyman likes Browman's work and has already started working with him. We're assuming that by the time SummerSlam comes around, we would have a repackaged Braun Strowman in WWE.
