The Philadelphia 76ers (20-12) are trying their best to be contenders this season. So far, their style of play has given them the opportunity to be on an eight-game winning streak. With a talented group, the Sixers have a shot at being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Sixers are currently fifth seed in the East and have been on a tear recently. Philly is one of nine teams to have 20 wins. Their leader, Joel Embiid, has been playing his heart out every game. He's leading the league in scoring with 33.1 points per game, edging Luka Doncic in scoring.

Despite their excellent play, they aren't the favorites to win the title. There are other great teams which have a better shot at winning it all. In the East, the top four teams favored to win the championship are the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Out in the West, teams like the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies are all poised to win it all. For the Sixers to be the clear winners of the championship, they'll have to do a better job. Luckily, they have picked up the pace and are racking up notable wins.
