Ty Jerome is an American basketball player who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA as of March 2025. He was born in New York City, New York, and attended Iona Preparatory School for his high school education. After high school, Jerome played college basketball at the University of Virginia from 2016 to 2019. During his college career, he played 105 games and started in 76 of them. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game during his time at Virginia. In his senior year, Jerome led the Virginia Cavaliers to an NCAA championship in the 2018-19 season. He averaged 13.6 points and 4.2 rebounds that season and was named to the Second Team All-ACC.

Ty Jerome was selected as the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he was immediately traded to the Boston Celtics and then to the Phoenix Suns. Throughout his NBA journey until March 2025, Jerome has played valuable rotational minutes as a backup point guard for several teams, including the Phoenix Suns (2019–2020), OKC Thunder (2020–2022), Golden State Warriors (2022–2023), and his team as of March 2025, the Cleveland Cavaliers (2023–present). As of March 2025, he has appeared in 221 NBA games and has scored 1,847 points, collected 454 rebounds, and recorded 614 assists in his NBA career.
