Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Udoka Azubuike is a professional basketball player signed with the Phoenix Suns. Azubuike’s rise to stardom began when he received a scholarship to play high school basketball in the US.


After excelling at Potter’s House Christian Academy in Florida, United States, Azubuike drew attention of top tier college programs, and eventually committed to University of Kansas.


Over four seasons for the Jayhawks, Azubuike won several individual accolades, and finished his college career with a record field goal percentage in NCAA history (74.6%).


In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz selected Azubuike 27th overall. As of May 2024, he is now on a two-way contract with the Suns.
