New Orleans Pelicans sensation Zion Williamson has been named in the starting five for Thursday's NBA showdown against the Utah Jazz.

Williamson had been listed as "questionable" for the opening game of the NBA's restart in Orlando after the 2019-20 season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The number one draft pick left the NBA bubble at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to attend an "urgent family matter" before returning last Friday, while he also completed a four-day quarantine.

However, Williamson is in the Pelicans' starting five alongside Lonzo Ball, Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram and Derrick Favors.

Williamson has not missed a beat since debuting for the Pelicans in January, averaging 23.6 points per game in his first 19 games – the most by any player through 19 career games since Chicago Bulls and NBA legend Michael Jordan (25.6).

The 20-year-old has helped fill the void left by Los Angeles Lakers recruit Anthony Davis in New Orleans and the Pelicans – 10th in the Western Conference with a 28-36 record – will be hoping he can lead the organisation to just their second playoff appearance in five seasons.
